Such a great place. You get everything you need for a comfortable stay with an ocean view and all this for a good price. I can definitely recommend this accommodation if you want to relax, the area is quiet and safe, and instead of the sounds of cars you hear the sound of the ocean and birds singing. Supermarket is a five-minute walk from the property. And there are a lot of beautiful places around to visit like “Telegrafo”, many beaches, trails, forests, animals. The owner is very kind and friendly and always ready to help.

The view was stunning. The breakfast was incredible and delivered right to our room so we could eat in privacy on our balcony overlooking the ocean/harbour. The coffee was so fresh and delicious. The staff were so lovely. The hot tub was great and I loved the outdoor lounge area where they were playing relaxing music. The room was clean and comfortable. We only booked one night and I really wanted to stay for another night but it was full. This might have been one of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in.

The region needs government investment; it's a neglected gem. Access roads are poor, tourism along the coast is disorganized, and there's a lack of infrastructure and cleanliness. In terms of nature, however, it's an incredible place, with great views, beautiful hidden beaches, and stunning vistas.

I liked the hotel, but the beach at Barra de Gustativa...

I liked the hotel, but the beach at Barra de Gustativa wasn't great... there are better ones. We didn't do the boat tour; perhaps that would be a nice experience along a river canal that looks very interesting and jungle-like. I would only return for the hotel for one night because it's beautiful, very well located with lovely views, and if you like jet skis, it's the place to rent them and go out.

The place is calm and pleasant, good for relaxing, with bars and live music that doesn't end after 11 pm. Parking is somewhat difficult; the cheapest daily rate we found was R$40.00 for parking because the guesthouse we stayed at didn't offer this service.

A very beautiful and safe place, because it has a nearby...

A very beautiful and safe place, because it has a nearby military base. It's easily accessible with everything very close by, with great beaches, especially the beach just below which is very calm, great for taking children, and we had the experience of swimming with several turtles there. The view was incredible, with beautiful trails, and the top of the trail I went on was fantastic, called Pedra do Telégrafo (Telegraph Rock).

Barra de Guaratiba itself doesn't have much to see; it's...

Barra de Guaratiba itself doesn't have much to see; it's better to stay in Recreio. The best part of the region is the restaurants along Estrada Burle Marx, before you reach Barra de Guaratiba beach. The most beautiful area in the region is Pedra do Telégrafo and the wild beaches, accessible only by trail.

The region is very beautiful.

The region is very beautiful. It offers options for all tastes. There are hiking trails (Telegraph Rock and Turtle Rock), deserted beaches, and mangroves. There's diving, fishing, a rich gastronomy, a distillery (Maxcana), and cultural options (Burle Marx's estate). It's well worth a visit!
