Me and my husband went for a mini honeymoon and we had an amazing and unforgettable experience! We had Dodó as our guide and Santiago as boat driver and they were the best, so knowledgeable and passionate about the Amazon! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot! Food was amazing and freshly cooked everyday. We got to eat the piranhas we fished the day before! Accommodation was better than expected, it really made a difference to have the AC in the room. We did have some insects and small frogs visiting us in the room but it was totally expected from being in the middle of the jungle and that didn´t bother us. We felt protected with the nets above the bed and didn´t hear a single mosquito during our sleep. It was very nice arriving from the activities and finding the beds done and net prepared for you with fresh towels everyday. Bring cash to spend at the bar and to buy art crafts from locals, they accept PIX but it´s hard to get wifi connection for that.

We spent four nights here and loved it. You don’t get the concentration of wildlife to spot as you do in the Pantanal. But what you do get is an immersion in how people live in the Amazon rainforest, as well as some incredible spots. There’s a lot of laughter and fun, rain, sun, river dolphins, caiman, macaques, sloths, amazing bird life, fruits of all shape and sizes, boat trips along the river, sunset swims, walks through the rainforest, piranha fisbing, kayaking, meeting people who live here, the school boat, manioc production, and Lola the parrot. Highlights were seeing huge blue butterflies fluttering across the water, sleeping in hammocks under mosquito nets in the rainforest, and the house caipirinhas.

We absolutely loved our stay at Arowana lodge. It’s clean , in a nice area where it’s nice and quiet. The staff are very polite and friendly. The food was amazing, fresh and local with good variety. The activities were really good , never a dull moment and we had so much fun, we did a lot in three days including hiking, kayaking, fishing, boat trips, swimming, etc . Our guide Anderson was absolutely incredible , he was funny, friendly and very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect and listened to what we wanted to do/see. We had the best time and would highly recommend this place.

They cared and the overall experience was amazing . Slightly rustic accommodation but high value. Great all-round inclusive of hiking, tours and meals. The meals were great. Anailson our guide and our local guide were of the highest class. Such a great experience.
