I liked the cultural center and Pico do Amor (Love Peak).

I liked the cultural center and Pico do Amor (Love Peak). And I loved Ipoema. I found the city clean. Few accommodation options. The city has potential to further develop tourism, especially literary tourism. Negative points: The BR highway is very poorly signposted, full of potholes, and the night lighting is very dim.

Itabira is a pleasant city.

Itabira is a pleasant city. It has many shops and supermarkets. The city center is very lively, with many options. The city offers a lot of entertainment and sightseeing. The downside is Uber, which doesn't work properly, but this can be solved with the 99 app, which works well. The streets are very flat in the center, so it's easy to walk around.

I spent Christmas with my husband, who is working in Itabira...

I spent Christmas with my husband, who is working in Itabira. I never imagined I would like the city so much. We strolled through the historic center, looked into the history of the poet Drummond de Andrade, went up and down hills, I had a great time! I recommend the recently renovated Varandas restaurant, a beautiful place!
