Very welcoming! All of the staff are super friendly and aware of details. It’s an easy going habitation, with a simple, beautiful garden and pool area, calm surroundings and a direct passage to the ocean. Perfect for a relaxing time in a cozy neighbourhood. And on top of that you get a very decent breakfast included, that misses nothing for a good start of the day!

I must say it was the best experience I’ve ever had in a hotel before! Everything was spectacular. It felt like home and I absolutely recommend to anyone! The staff are friendly and helpful. My partner got food poison in a restaurant in Carneiros and spent a night throwing up. In the morning on the next day the staff advised us to go to the hospital near by and on our way back from the hospital they prepared a vegetable soup (which was not on their menu) and brought to our room coconut water as well. They didn’t charge anything for the service and my partner was feeling much better after. We were so glad and grateful that it didn’t ruin our holiday! We are so grateful for the staff who treated us with care and respect. Their facilities are incredible too. Everything is so clean and smells amazingly good. Also quiet and peaceful!!! Have I mentioned about the breakfast? OMG! It was delicious with lots of variety of fruits, hot meals, juice, cakes… Everything was fresh and delicious. We loved this hotel very much! Hope to come back soon!

The weather was amazing when we arrived and the whole location looked even better than in the pictures. We did not realise at the time of booking there was a massive play area for kids and that was a nice surprise too. The breakfast has a massive choice of amazing dishes and eating on the mezzanine with a view of the ocean was a real treat. Just like having a drink or eating on the side of the many pools in the middle of palm trees and the two great bands who played Live in the middle of the week on two separate nights. Everything about this Hotel was amazing, if it's your budget you won't be disappointed.

PORTO DE GALHINHAS IS A VERY ROMANTIC SPOT WITH NICE BEACHES AND GOOD RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS. 10 YEARS AGO IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. TODAY ITS OVERRUN BY TOURISTS WHICH HARMS A BIT THE ROMANTIC ENERGY BUT IT IS STILL WORTH VISITING IT

Porto de Galinhas is a charming place, especially at night...

Porto de Galinhas is a charming place, especially at night when the village really comes to life. The streets are full of little shops, local crafts, and great restaurants. One of our favorites was Restaurante Domingos – super cozy and perfect for a special dinner, with amazing seafood. If you're looking for something more affordable but still delicious, Trattoria is a great pick for pasta and Italian dishes. During the day, besides relaxing on the beach and visiting the natural pools, we also tried diving – it was such a cool experience, and you don’t even need to be a diver. Honestly, Porto has the perfect mix of laid-back vibes, good food, and fun things to do.

Not as good as it was advertised or as it was since las time I was there (2017). There were no Bathrooms for kids or woman or even man at all. The ones that supposed to work were totally out of work and indescribable, one space in the jungle was better than those. So no hygiene at all in the beach unless you go to a private area or restaurant which I didn't so don't know there either. Super crowded, the parking was worse than anywhere else I have visited in Brazil, the city and the beach both. The food (at the beach) was not good anymore, seems like didn't matter to make it well and even edible sometimes, I left after a little while trying to loose a bad taste of food on all of us somewhere else in the city that also had restrooms facilities for us to use. The PARKING IS NOT PUBLIC! This is very BAD, ANNOYING and UNCOMFORTABLE. It is controlled by individuals that charge you for nothing, just being there they kind of threaten people and families into paying them, and I mean anywhere you park is like that in the entire city and at the beach too. The City (Prefeitura), the Mayor or someone have to fix that. It is really a huge mess and unfair to tourists, also that parking money doesn't go to the city to benefit and improve roads or facilities. The place is a disaster in general. The small shops and restaurants still remained the only part worth visiting there, for food or souvenirs, to me the beach sucked and I will not return there for that experience again. PS: in the 4th section here I was asked: 4. What would you recommend Porto De Galinhas for? I couldn't select anything because the only I would say was Souvenirs and it wasn't listed, not even Nightlife unless you are a very young person 18-25 age. Not family oriented at night whatsoever, which is my case.

The bad part is that there were a lot of people offering tours around the city If the guest goes to the center every day, it is better to rent a car because the taxi costs 100 reais round trip If you go to Carneiro and Maragogi, be careful with the road, it is terrible. come back in the day from these places

The city was taken over by people selling all kinds of tours, you literally can’t walk more than 20 meters without being stopped by someone offering some kind of product or service. Restaurants have staff at their doors almost begging tourists to come in. Also, when it rains, water stays on the streets for quite some time. Beaches became unwalkable due to the amount of chairs and parasols and once again people selling things. Another thing is the amount of dirt on the beaches, every single patch of sand is covered by plastic and other kinds of things that don’t belong in there.

We loved everything about this hotel, it is my favourite hotel that I have stayed in Brazil. The rooms are modern and clean. The facilities are great and you cannot be in a better location. The team at Maihai go out of their way to help you, Thiago, Anderson, Gi and Marilla all made our stay amazing. We will be back here without a doubt and will be recommending to friends who want to visit Porto de galinhas.

I've loved the place, in all senses. The beach, the hotel area, the rooms. The most special place was in the deck, in vento top the beach. It's a really amazing and quiet place, perfect to enjoy the more exclusive area of Pontal do Cupe. I would also like to make a comment about the staff. They were all super nice, attentive and trying all possible to handle our needs.

We flew from Canada to Brazil for a family trip to celebrate my nephew's first birthday. The reception was warm and friendly, we all had welcome gifts in our bedrooms and the hotel is very nice indeded. The restaurant was under renovation (which we only learned after checking in) but their back up plan worked out fine. The staff at the bars is great.

Lovely little oasis with a beautiful quiet beach only a couple of steps away. The hosts very very welcoming, created a great atmosphere and were eager to offer tips and help. If you want to stay close to (20 min walk on the beach) but not in busy porto de galinhas, this is the place for you!
