Loved this hostel, which really felt like a "flashpacking"/hotel kind of hostel. The beds are comfortable and semi-private, shower/bathroom facilities were great, and the restaurant downstairs great too. The staff are super friendly, and this is easily one of the best value places to stay in the 'centre' of a rather spread-out city.

There aren't many accommodation options that offer good...

There aren't many accommodation options that offer good value for money. It's better to walk a little further and stay in the hotel zone; there are several options like Altrust, Riviera, etc., which are 3-star hotels but much more affordable in terms of cost-benefit and, especially, location. Not to mention that the rooms don't smell musty and are well-equipped.

The service format, with everything available only at the...

The service format, with everything available only at the reception, including water, wasn't ideal. However, the hotel is very clean, has reasonable accommodations, and a safe place to park. It offers good value for money, especially for those traveling for work and looking for a reasonable place to stay overnight.

Well-wooded.

Well-wooded. We went to the Trem da Serra restaurant, which has an excellent view of the entire city, good food, live music (an excellent musician), a free swimming pool, great trails to take the children on an adventure to explore the Cerrado, and excellent viewpoints.
