We like the proximity to the station, restaurants and other attractions in Churchill. Bill was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. He had our room ready when we arrived early in the morning off the train. He let us stay until we departed for the train station two days later. Bill toured us to the more remote attractions around Churchill.

Big comfortable bed, adjustable room temperature, friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant on site, and nice quality toiletries. It's also an excellent location for walking from the railway station and accessing town activities, as well as being opposite the supermarket.

Tylor and Sarah was an amazing host - friendly and so helpful throughout our stay in Churchill. The stay was fantastic as well - warm shower, comfortable room and bed, good kitchen facilties! Every morning Tylor will prepare a simple heartwarming breakfast for all 👍🏻👍🏻 Tylor even has car for rental (just ask him!) and can even take you out for boating tour. Do also support the Asian food truck! We really enjoyed the authentic Chinese food.

I am so beyond thrilled to have found the Bear's Den Guest House in Churchill. My stay could not have been better. It offers everything, and more, than I could have thought of or wanted. Amazingly kind and helpful communication with Lynn before my stay, a really wonderful and helpful host (thanks Kyle!) and the ever-so-comfortable and cozy living spaces (I want those couches), and incredibly well-outfitted kitchen, perfect location for exploring the town and meeting locals, it also gave me the very special opportunity to, as much as is possible in just a visit, feel like a part of this great community. A true home away from home. I just hope it's available whenever I come back. And return I definitely will. Thanks again!

Churchill is a small Arctic town with some 800 residents.

Churchill is a small Arctic town with some 800 residents. It has a fantastic local museum with artifacts and displays on Inuit culture, a full-size handmade kayak, carvings made from Narwhal tusks, and descriptive historical panels. This is a good place to buy handmade souvenirs. Around town are some colourful murals of polar bears, whales, seals and more. The blue coloured street signs highlight the names of famous local and Arctic explorers. Local restaurants are good. My personal fav was the Lazy Bear Café. Pricey, however the meals are excellent! I travelled with two tour companies with their knowledgeable guides: Discover Churchill for three days in their comfortable, well-heated 4x4 GM vans, and an all-day outing with Frontiers North in their famous Tundra Buggies. Both vehicles get you close to where the polar bears come ashore and linger next to Hudson Bay. Every day I went with these two knowledgeable companies, I saw and photographed polar bears, various bird species, including the "Tundra chicken" plus local sites, such as the "polar bear jail"! I highly recommend both companies.

Some snags with weather/train issue but we got great help from the local Tour Operator, Frontiers North and Destination Churchill. 🌟 Review for Sarah’s Dream House – Churchill, Manitoba Sarah’s Dream House is exactly what the name promises — a dream come true! ✨ Every wish is met with warmth and care. The location is perfect — close to everything in town — and the breakfasts are fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy, and the host goes above and beyond to make sure your stay in Churchill is truly magical. The house has five guest rooms, a welcoming central living room, and a shared kitchen — a wonderful setup that brings travelers together. One of the best parts of staying here was meeting the other guests. We shared meals, photos, stories, tours, and even a car! Everyone was so friendly, and we’ve all become lifelong friends. The owner, Taylor, is truly special — he even rented us his car for a day and gave us rides to and from the airport and train station. Everyone in town knows and loves him, and it’s easy to see why. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home and where connections are made as easily as memories — Sarah’s Dream House is the perfect place to stay in Churchill. 🐻❄️

The town was about as friendly and helpful as one could possibly imagine. Along with our wildlife tour and night to see the northern lights, it was fun to frequent the restaurants (even ate at the hospital once and the food was great!). We also visited a robust community center and played air hockey, bowled and could have done even more of the activities if we had the time! Everyone we encountered was just delightful and helpful!

What a treasure of a town on the edge of the boreal forest...

What a treasure of a town on the edge of the boreal forest and the Canadian Tundra. We received a warm welcome from natives and imports who all worked together to make our stay memorable. This is the perfect adventure for solo female travellers - a very small and safe town with unique sights and adventures. With weather appropriate clothing you can be out and about every day. Dress in layers and be prepared for heat, or cold winds, rain or sun - all in one day!! The food at most of the restaurants exceeded our expectations. We had dinner at a different place for days....special shout out to the Tundra Pub!

Loved the Northern Lights and the Churchill murals on buildings all over town. Tours we did take were excellent and well described. We were there in the wrong season for polar bears, Northern Lights were excellent. Take the time to visit the museums in town, they show great history of Churchill. Go for a walk around town. Be prepared for a small town atmosphere and very friendly people.

We went to see the polar bears (which we saw!)

We went to see the polar bears (which we saw!) and the northern lights (which we didn't see). We did a full day polar bear tour (not on a tundra buggy) and a half day City tour. We enjoyed both but really appreciated the City tour which taught us more about the community (very small, very north, very cold, very windy). We also visited the eskimo museum (which we had more time there) and walked around and got pictures of most of the murals. There is an ATM in town and the post office will give you an (ink) stamp in your passport. We bought some locally made jam - both with berries we had never heard of before. A really wonderful, memory making trip!) We'd love to return to see the beluga whales.

In a big city this would perhaps be a fairly basic hotel but in a remote place like Churchill it is good. Clean, comfortable and warm. Best of all the owner Bill and has assistant Bram went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and made it a most enjoyable stay.

The best accommodation in Churchill! Not only did the host come to the station to pick us up due to the harsh weather, but the house was also exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated with various Churchill-themed items. I would 100% recommend staying here!
