You can drive to IGA and Dollartree not far. We made our own food in our room but there is a few fast food places close, Tim Hortons and A&W. It’s worth driving up to Sechelt too. They had an excellent gelato in Gibson which had a bakery too, love it there.

Gibsons is a Beautiful, quaint little town, very good at hosting guests. With many lucky finds. A particularly lucky find was Grammas restaurant off the boardwalk. We missed the street entrance. As it was too small and sadly uninviting. The city could help this treasurer of a business by “resolving the issue of the adjacent space,” our server explained. Another lucky find was “reasons to live” book and record store. Follow the signs for a bit of a scavenger hunt for your lucky find in this well stocked store. Park for free and it’s an easy one street walk (more or less).

Gibsons is a quiet seaside community very close to Vancouver. In a scenic 45 minute ferry ride it's easy to get out of the city quickly. You can experience the laid back charm of Gibsons and the Sunshine Coast without having to go far. There's lots to do in the area for outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, art lovers, or those who just want to relax.

It's a small, quaint town. Easy to walk around. Lots of restaurants to eat at. We hiked in Soames Knob. Great view from the top. We also explored the Sunshine Coast and went to nearby Roberts Creek and Sechelt. Easy drive.

I am a local resident, Gibson's and the Sunshine Coast have limited restaurant and take out hours, so be prepared to eat early or bring your own food, especially breakfast, this is quite inconvenient for construction workers or outdoor enthusiasts wishing to make an early start Best breakfast is Strait Coffee in Wilson Creek( opens 7am) Tim Hortons is nearby the hotel local transit is quite good but very limited on weekends

The Caprice is set on a large wooded lot, with a view of the ocean. My unit was large, well-equipped, comfortable, and very clean. I have family who live nearby so I didn't spend a lot of time at the Caprice, but there are spacious decks, a hot tub, and a pool available for guests to enjoy. (It was April so the pool wasn't open yet.) They are doggie-friendly and very welcoming. The next time I am in Gibsons visiting family, I'd stay at the Caprice again.

We would prefer a restaurant at the same location as the hotel. we had never eaten breakfast at Tim’s before so that was a pleasant surprise. Usually one eats donuts and drinks coffee there. At least we had some choice. Would have been nice to have a set price there and be able to order whatever one wanted and pay for anything above and beyond the price that was settled on with the hotel.

The room was spotlessly clean. I've been telling people it's the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff is friendly, and management is very accommodating. Excellent communication from the hotel about reservation and check-in info.
