Breakfast was sumptuous. We were spoilt for choice. The aesthetics of the hotel as a whole was simply mind blowing. A true definition of home away from home.

Excellent city centre location. No parking or stopping area which was awkward for pick ups and drop offs. We had a studio apartment which was very well appointed, comfortable and nicely decorated. Also a good sized bathroom . The kitchen area was very well equipped. We looked onto Argyll Street which was quiet in February but probably noisy later in the year.check in was online and we had door codes for the front door and our apartment which worked well. The cleaning staff were very helpful, with fresh towels and sheets as needed. Laundry facilities available.

The breakfast was such a plus. The only thing I found that I think needs addressing is the bed. The mattress itself was comfortable but the frame was very flimsy and shakey. If I even coughed , the whole bed moved. Everytime I moved , even a little , my husband was woke up and vise versa. Nothing a solid frame couldnt fix. Other than that , the rooms were a good size , very clean and cozy. The location was perfect for a casino visit to the city and the staff at the front counter , well so friendly and accommodating.

It was located conveniently to the Airport with ample availability of free parking and a buffet breakfast all of which were important for our last nights stay in Canada. However, it was also near enough to the City Centre to avail of a 25CAD Uber. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room, cleanliness and general facilties were all excellent. I mainly stuck to downtown but I'd say Halifax is a great spot to visit. The city's downtown area is SUPER easy for newcomers to figure out and navigate, I had pretty much the entire 20-minute stretch surrounding the hostel I was staying at memorized after like a half hour of walking around, to the point I didn't even need to dig out Google Maps when I walked down to the Scotiabank Centre for the The Used concert. For food, I didn't go to any restaurants. I just stocked up on pre-made meals from the Superstore on Barrington St and snacks from the Park Lane Mall Dollarama, so I don't have any recommendations for food spots, unfortunately. But there were a lot of spots that I saw that looked very interesting that I want to try next time I'm in Halifax. My favourite places in Halifax were this little retro video game and trading card shop downtown called The Deck Box, and obviously the venue where I finally got to see my favourite band of all time, The Used, perform live, the Scotiabank Centre.

We are only an hour from Halifax but enjoy our stays in the city. Halifax has so much to offer. Terrific restaurants, beautiful waterfront and lots of entertainment and cultural experiences. We often come to take in concerts, plays at Neptune theatre or one of the awesome Candlelight Concerts.

Halifax drivers are the worst.

Halifax drivers are the worst. I am more comfortable driving in Toronto or Montreal than this east coast town. Hotel prices are atrocious. The airport is a long way out of town. The only way to do this place is on a cruise ship. The attitude here seems to be - this is the last place you can go because the Atlantic Ocean is your only other option!

So much to see and do in downtown Halifax.

So much to see and do in downtown Halifax. The mixture of restored historical buildings alongside modern new ones is well done. Lots of good food at moderate prices ruined with 25% more in taxes. Be aware that the airport is rather distant from the city.

The harbour is great and there are some interesting eighbourhoods. I was disappointed at the lack of day tours—I did get to sunset at Peggy’s Cove, but no walking tour, harbour tour, wine tour or Mahone Bay/ Lunenburg tour was available. Clearly Halifax is more interested in cruise ship traffic. Maritimes Bus service was very efficient.

We stayed two nights at this Hotel at the end of our trip to Canada. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were given a corner room that had a separate living room. It was very comfortable and great to sit and relax after a day’s sightseeing. We didn’t eat at the hotel, so I can’t comment on the food. There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance.

The location is great. Walkable to the waterfront and the rest of downtown Halifax. Very pleasant staff. The breakfast was quite good and more than adequate although there was no hot option. The premises were clean. It is an old house so there are some limitations. A very good nearby restaurant offers a small discount for guests.

The room was large and the beds were comfortable. There is a good restaurant in the hotel where we ordered a good breakfast from a varied menu. The location of the hotel is an easy walk to everything downtown that we wanted to experience. Boardwalk, museums, the Citadel and good restaurants. Parking across the street was close.
