I like be the warm and retro vibe of the hotel. The staff are always nice and the location can’t be beat, close enough to walk all over downtown but not right on the noisy night strip. I was travelling with 2 friends and we wanted to economise and stayed 3 adults in a one bedroom with a pullout in the living room. Evan as a grown adult the pullout was very comfortable.

Victoria is a beautiful place! 😍 There's lots to see & do. The buildings are stunning. The harbour is so pretty. It is quite clean mostly. Good parking. Nice restaurants near the harbour. Felt very safe in the day. But not so much at night, as there's a big homeless problem sadly. Beacon Hill Park is absolutely perfect! Favourite part & the beach too. Wonderful 2 days. Stayed at The Grand Pacific Hotel..which was awesome too. Highly recommend. Food at Milestones Bar & Grill by the harbour is definitely worth it. Food was delicious & staff were so kind.

We enjoyed visiting the Gorge near our hotel and would have liked to have more time to walk the park there. We found driving in the city confusing and would have liked bigger road signs to help us navigate. All the right and left hand turn lanes at intersections were difficult for a visitor unused to the city.

So much to see and do.

So much to see and do. Victoria offers a plethora of options and a beautiful backdrop for all. As a group of women we spent time rummaging through an antique and thrift store, visited a trendy market and experienced a “Scottish high tea”. Something for everyone! Always the downside to any large city is the traffic but with some patience and a good navigator traversing the city is very doable…and there are many tour buses that offer the best option.

The harbour area was great, the architecture was beautiful to look at and the parks are gorgeous. We did a whale watching tour and saw many different whales and other wildlife- it was superb. Also it’s a very walkable city, we didn’t use our vehicle as we like to experience and see more on foot.

    I love Victoria .

I love Victoria . It's a beautiful , sophisticated city with a small town feel in that it is relaxing and fun to just wander around the downtown area . I particularly like the Inner Harbour. Also recommend Butchart Gardens and the Japanese Garden along the Waterway, where you'll see beautiful views as well as weddings parties being photographed.

I love Victoria. The old houses, the luxury apartments. The character of the downtown! I just love it. Traffic can get pretty bad and parking can be a challenge so I wouldn't visit in July or August if I could help it. But that ocean is always there, calling. Go.

location was great. overall the value was good, a room for 200 dollars within walking distance of downtown core in victoria. basically what you would want, no frills, and if your priority is a cheaper hotel that you sleep in but not paying for luxury than this is the place. If you have champagne tastes dont book here.
