I stopped at this hotel on my way from England to Italy, it was close to the motorway, close to centre of the town and had a garage for my car. Angelica and her partner were really welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave me information about what to see and where I could eat and were just lovely. The room was comfortable, there were areas in the hotel for guests to sit if they wished to. Breakfast was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

A charming place with plenty of southern flair.

A charming place with plenty of southern flair. No lake, but very close to Como. There's plenty to do even without a car. We fondly remember our meal at Grotto Linet and his wonderful hospitality. The food hall and pizzeria in town were also excellent. Shopping in nearby Foxtown and Chiasso is affordable and highly recommended.

We came to Mendrisio for the Easter processions, and Chiasso was conveniently located for us. Public transport provided good connections to Mendrisio; unfortunately, the processions were cancelled due to bad weather.

Chiasso isn't very lively.

Chiasso isn't very lively. In the evening, almost everything is closed. Even many restaurants and bars are closed. The streets are deserted. Why??? But we visited Ticino and nearby Italy. We explored the area around Chiasso. It was fine that way.

Great hotel. The location was 200meters from the boarder and in a safe quiet area. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. We booked a room with a balcony which was great to sit on and eat our takeout pizza & salad (Family Pizza place round the corner very good!) There is also a resturant at the hotel which we used for evening drinks & breakfast in the morning. Parking was easy too with spaces outside the hotel that are free from 6pm. We paid €5 to cover us for the morning until checking out.
