Goethe famously said about Andermatt: “of all the regions I know, this is my favourite”. Hotel Bergidyll proves Goethe’s preference. Wonderfully located very close to ski lifts and the lovely village centre, it provides a cozy stay with very attentive staff and comfortable rooms. The nicest and most helpful host we have ever encountered, the stay was already fantastic but he certainly contributed to our feeling being a big 10+ The apartment is fully equipped and has a beautiful view, parking was very easy in the underground garage with even the possibility to charge the car. The nice bars and restaurants are within walking distance, so in short a fantastic stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host greeted us warmly with chocolate and a bottle of wine upon arrival – such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel instantly welcome. The apartment is centrally located, close to everything you might need, and fully equipped so you won’t miss a thing. The hosts were extremely responsive and attentive to our needs, answering any questions promptly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay!

No more than 90 minutes by car from Zurich airport and the same from Chur for Bernina and Glacier Expresses. 20 minutes from Andrematt and that it has to offer. Swiss rail station within walking distance

Cute little town with a detailed history.

Cute little town with a detailed history. Get a copy of the walking tour and/or check out the museum at the train station for more information about the tunnels and bridges. Göschenen is a great place to stay if skiing in Andermatt and you want to be away from the crowds. It’s a quick drive or train ride away.

For a mountain escape it’s a great place to sspend a night or passing through. At the end of a road quite high up the mountain. Great mountain views. The only sound we could hear in the evening was cow bells. A truly authentic countryside place. Far from hotel chain feeling.
