Super nice staff. Bedroom was simple but super comfortable and clean. Great size bathroom and warm floor in it was a plus. Little play corner in the reception for the kids. Great breakfast and restaurant. Mr Roger and Mrs Rosa were incredibly warm and helpful as I had an emergency health situation with my husband on the day of checking in. They went above and beyond to help me settle in comfortably with my toddler. Now everything is fine and we will be back in the future in a more relaxed way.

The surroundings are very pleasantly quiet. Guarda is an excellent base for many adventures. We visited Tarasp Castle, the Morteratsch Glacier, and on the way home to Davos, the "eau lala" spa.

A beautiful and peaceful place, almost like a museum.

A beautiful and peaceful place, almost like a museum. Lovely buildings. A stay of 2-3 days is sufficient. Dining options are limited; there are only two restaurants. It's recommended to eat in neighboring towns, such as Ardez and Lavin.

Guarda enchants with its unique Engadine character, its small workshops, its traditions, and its incomparable landscape. The shorter and more challenging circular hikes through the larch forests, the exceptionally diverse alpine flora, and the idyllic spots delighted us!

Guarda is a great place to stay as you can walk around day or night and enjoy the beauty of the village and the houses. Staying here first time I was nicely surprised by a possibility to make coffee/tee for a whole day for free. Another surprise was a breakfast, the exact portions size of muesli/pudding/fruit salad served in the glass cups. My room was clean and large with a nice view over the Engadine valley. I have to mention a woman from Tourist Information - lovely, friendly and extremely helpful.

It’s amazing. Almost impossible to explain. First is the village - a tiny, ancient, beautiful location with graffiti decorated houses. Then there is the magic of the hotel. It is so characterful and charming. Walls and ceilings are carved timber. The dining room is stunning. The lounge is comfortable especially with the fire going. Food is superb for dinner and breakfast. Staff are delightful. It ‘s unique.

The village of Guarda is absolutely beautiful. One of the loveliest places I’ve visited in Switzerland. We were really happy to find this nice apartment to stay 2 days there. The place is really clean and well decorated. We also loved having animals nearby, especially the goats. The views from the different windows of the flat are breathtaking – real life paintings. We couldn’t stop looking at them!

Typical small swiss hotel, tucked away at the top of the hill …from the frenzy of today’s world. We had the breakfast in the main part of the hotel with a fabulous view, overlooking the valley. Super friendly staff!!! Helpful with everything. Great breakfast!!
