It has all the amenities you require, however if you have 2 suitcases, it difficult to open it :) 2. Bathroom - clean and spacious 3. Staff - very friendly. The staff invited us for free drinks at bar in the evening. 4. Location - excellent. It is central and right on the water. You can enjoy your meals at the balcony and enjoy the views. 5. Breakfast - it was fresh and tasty. 6. Value for money - a bit at the expensive side but it is due to quality and location.

The staff at the front desk were amazing - friendly and helpful. They were able to assist us with an alternative option when our tour operator (Viator - never use them) cancelled thirty minutes before the tour and were unreachable. Their suggestion was even more cost effective than the tour operator and it ended up being a pleasant day afterall. So thumbs up for the excellent service in our time of need.

Exceptional in all its aspects stay: from the kind messages from the hotel before arriving, warm welcome at the reception upon arrival, honoring my request for a quiet room, warm handwritten welcome note in my room, attention from the staff members at the breakfast, elegant, cosy and functional, quite spacious for a single-bed room, super comfy bed with great linen, nice bathroom with freshly scented toiletries, to the fabulous and nutritious, varied and healthy breakfast, a water bottle at the room, and water and coffee - courtesy by the hotel! The location is also great - a couple of blocks away from the train station, with a gorgeous green park on one side and a lovely museum across the street, and lively bakeries close by. A stroll through Malters. Lovely park surrounding the Conservatory/Music House. It's a shame the hotel restaurant was closed and that an alternative arrangement with the nearby Hotel Kreuz wasn't offered during this Covid period, where only hotel guests are allowed. And the terrace wasn't warm enough.

we came a bit early in the hotel, so they stored our suitcases and we went in the town for a visit. So that's a plus and great service. Then a very nice woman received us with open arms and showed us to our room, witch they prepared early for us, it was only 11.00. the normal check in was 14.00. The breakfast was very yummy an large with al te food you can imagine. We traveled from Belgium to Italy and needed a stop in between. So if you need a hotel in Zwitserland for travel or pitstop, this is the one. A special thanks to Petra.

In short - everything! The hotel is family run (now the fourth generation) and I was made very welcome and helped as much as possible. I was lent a Swiss electrical adapter at no cost. Could not sample the hotel restaurant as it was closed on a Monday night but there are good options within a few minutes walk. Would definitely use this hotel again!
