I had a wonderful stay at the Calafate. The location provides a spectacular view of Coyhaique and Cerro Mackay, and the panoramic windows in the room permitted full appreciation of it. It was only a 15 minute drive from the centre of town, and the hotel provided the contact of the charming Don Manuel, whom I used as a reliable and fairly priced taxi service. The staff were incredibly friendly, the decore and layout of the property outstanding, and the breakfast was ample and delicious.

Incredibly clean, beds super comfy, spacious apartment with a lot of cooking equipment and facilities. Great location. Staff were friendly and available, very helpful. Breakfast was copious -- eggs (cooked on the spot), breads and cheeses, lots of fruits, pastries and yogurts.

If you want a place with a private parking lot and a huge house all for yourself this is the place. We stayed here because the house is huge and has a real kitchen with everything and a big living room. Every house has a parking place. You are central to downtown and minimarkets and supermarket are just around the corner.
