The hotel was very close to Beijing Daxing International Airport. Every 7-15 minutes there is the shuttle between airport and hotel and it takes about 3-4 minutes to get to hotel or airport. The room is clean, staff is helpful.

Room was as advertised, very clean with good attention to detail. The inclusive breakfast had a wide variety of choices so there was something for everybody. Staff service was amazing, James Gao Xu went above and beyond what was expected. He even helped with finding flight information and coming to the airport (5 minute walk) to help pickup a family member and carry our luggage. Highly recommend the hotel and staff, especially as it is so close to the airport. Will definitely be staying again.

We fell in love with this room. The atmosphere is indescribable. It is located in the old buildings of Beijing (Hútòng). The area seemed very calm and quiet to us. There are plants everywhere in the hotel itself, and in the common room there is an artificial pond in which fish swim. You can relax on the roof. In the evening, you can buy inexpensive local beer in the refrigerator. Very good by the way. There is a light breakfast. The owner of the hotel is a very helpful and pleasant person. He speaks excellent English. He told us where there is a supermarket in the area, where there is a delicious soup. The next time we go to Beijing, we will only stay at Kelly's.

The staff at the hotel were fantastic. They all spoke English fluently and were eager to help and give tips about Beijing. We booked a tour for the palace museum and another to the great wall through the hotel. These tours were very smooth and we really liked how last minute (the night before) we could book them. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Beijing.

Our stay at this hotel was exactly what you hope for in a classic holiday. From the moment we arrived, the staff were helpful, welcoming, and genuinely friendly — especially at reception, where check-in was quick and smooth. The room was very good — spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was also a pleasant surprise: peaceful, yet conveniently close to everything we needed. One of the real highlights, though, was the breakfast. It was truly impressive — a generous spread with plenty of variety, fresh options, and something for every taste. It set the tone for the day and left us looking forward to it each morning. Overall, this hotel delivered everything you’d want from a traditional holiday stay. Highly recommended!

FAQs about hotels in Beijing

From Chinese Dynasties to Cultural Dynamics

A world-renowned gem, sprawling Beijing has magnificent monuments and peaceful parks. At its heart is the world’s largest square - Tiananmen, surrounded by important museums and the amazing Forbidden City. This 15th-century, walled complex of palaces neighbours Jingshan Park and Beihai Park with its imperial garden.

Opposite Tiananmen Square is the ultra-modern National Centre for Perfoming Arts, a beacon of the city’s culture so impressively displayed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympics in the Bird’s Nest Stadium.

To its east is the UNESCO World-Heritage listed Summer Palace, a lakeside retreat of emperors, while also UNESCO listed is the grand Temple of Heaven in Chongwen district, where remnants of Ming dynasty city walls are visible. Nearby are several hutongs, narrow alleys whose traditional architecture contrasts with wider, modern roads including Beijing Financial Street, the city's business area.

The most popular Beijing shopping street is Wangfujing, and other must-see sights include the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo and the Great Wall of China, an easy day trip from Beijing.

As you would expect from the capital of the world’s most populous country, there are a good number of 5-star hotels in Beijing on Booking.com, mainly in the Dongcheng and Chaoyang districts. There are also several hotels near Beijing Capital Airport in the north-east.

Stunning Architecture and World Heritage sites all well-...

Stunning Architecture and World Heritage sites all well-managed for visitors, such as shuttles, tickets, toilets and no-smoking policy. A major drawback that this city should improve is the smoking areas. People can smoke freely on the streets, which negatively affects those with respiratory problems and children. This makes our city walks less enjoyable. In addition, many locals tend to spit on the streets, which is another issue that should be addressed.

An amazing city - probably doesn't need more than a 5 day trip. A day-long excursion to the Great Wall of China is a must (hire a driver rather than spending 2 hours on a bus) and get there early to beat the queues for the chairlift up and toboggan down. Starting early is important most days as there are SO many tourists (mostly Chinese) at all the major sights. If you're there longer - consider going to a hot springs (onsen) and choose one that the locals use (we went to one in the Fengtai area) and taking a day trip to another city (we took the high speed train to Tianjin which was fun). The Temple of Heaven was better than the Summer Palace (IMHO) and Beijing Zoo was dismal - only go if you absolutely MUST see the pandas. Get a good VPN before you travel and stay connected to this to be able to use Instagram and WhatsApp. Set up AliPay with your payment details before you go - we didn't use cash once in a week and AliPay lets you book taxis, pay for the metro, pay in shops and pay individuals directly. It's essential. Consider getting WeChat too - people in China use this instead of Whatsapp. Carry your passport with you at all times - you'll need it everywhere - including spot checks in metro stations etc. Have a great trip!

Excellent city hotel at a great location, with fantastic and very engaged and helpful staff. I was actually quite bought of food-poisioning from a market stall and was very sick on my last day in the hotel. The staff did absolutely everything they could to make me feel as comfortable as is possible, while one is sick as I was waiting for and leading up to my taxi to the airport, which the hotel also arranged on my behalf. I would recommend staying at this hotel for anyone who is on a short trip to Beijing!

I was only staying in Beijing on a short stopover so wanted a hotel that was convenient and comfortable rather than a more characterful choice. The room was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean with good facilities (fridge, safe, working desk, great AC, etc). The bed was especially comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped too. The location was convenient for a short stay close to the airport train station. The breakfast buffet was vast and covered a range of tastes.

Although the location was a little further out of the tourist area, this was actually a good thing. Given that Alipay offers such cheap taxis, the distance was not an issue. The hotel was clean and the staff did everything they could to help me as a first time tourist in Beijing, well, actually China. I was quite jetlagged when I arrived so ate in the restaurant - the peking duck was amazing!

EAST Beijing is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was huge with floor to ceiling windows looking out on the Beijing sky line. The bathroom was likewise massive, with a large bath and shower. The hotel feels like 5 star , with wonderful staff, but at an unexpectedly reasonable price.

Good location. The Beijing International Airport (PEK) is relative near, by taxi it takes 15 minutes only. Near the hotel there are two small shops and two restaurants. There is a lot of food to choose for breakfast. Staff is friendly that speaks English and help to call taxies.
