The entire hotel is very modern and looks newly renovated. They have all the amenities that you would want for a comfortable stay. It is located right next to the bus station for the Yuping cable car. The best thing about the hotel is the service. Nothing is too much trouble for them and I even managed to wechat message to make arrangements ahead of time for transportation needs when in the area. I highly recommend Cheng Jin if you are planning to visit Huangshan. Easily the best hotel during this trip!

Very homely feel of the inn. Innkeepers were so nice they drove us to the mountains and even picked us up back when we were done climbing out of their own goodwill with no charges. They gave us a detailed map and explanation of the route that we wanted to climb. Very knowledgeable of their own hometown. Even told us how to dress accordingly and gave us a warm chinese breakfast which we loved! Toilet bowls have seat warmers and bidet which even the 5* hotels we stayed at did not. Bathtub is huge and can fit two people easily. Exceptional service and they have the cutest cat!

The hotel is very new with contemporary designed interiors and we found the room and dining room bright and spacious. Staff were very helpful. They responded readily to online messaging in English during the booking. Loved the morning buffet. Had complimentary local snacks and water bottles in our room at check-in. The hotel referred a private minivan driver to transport us the 40 minutes from the Huangshan North train station to the hotel. We needed wechat to communicate to arrange with the driver. Or else you will need to use mandarin to speak with the driver. Accomodated our late check-in as we arrived later by fast train from Hong Kong. James X. was patient in explaining the simple booking process for us to hike Huangshan and he even personally walked with us for 5 minutes to the closeby Huangshan mountain tour booking and bus centre where you are transported to the cable car stations. Very close. Definitely would book this hotel again.

The owner went above and beyond to help me make the best of my trip - he gave me great tips on which routes to take on the mountain, helped organize a ride to get me to the village of Hongcun and back, and generally was just such a friendly and helpful guy. In my mind, that in itself is good enough reason to stay here and not elsewhere. The hotel itself is cute and very modern, and is well located within walking distance to the Huangshan tourist buses. Also the village itself where it is located, although generally just a stopover village to get to the mountain, does still have a relaxed and authentic feel to it (at least in November when I visited).
