We love the way the old building has been converted, retaining its historical charm while providing a comfortable and clean accommodation. Marina is an excellent hotel manager. We appreciated her taking time showing us around including the gardens and historical features. A Jie is really friendly and helpful too! We are lucky to have the living room to ourselves for the night we stayed. It was really homely with great AV equipment. The organic vegetables provided are all from the garden. Food is delicious and healthy.

Shout out to Lucy and Stanley! You guys were amazing, and so very helpful. The accomodation was beautiful, food was good and service was top notch! Nice family owned hotel, clean and quiet. Lily organized our transportation from the railway station and then back to Beijing. The manager was super attentive since the moment we made the booking. He offered transport service to/from Beijing, although we had our own already booked. The team greeted us with a great dinner included in our price, and the breakfast was also excellent. They sorted out the tickets for us, which was super helpful. They also took us to the great wall cable car entrance, and picked us up once we had finished. Super friendly people and I definitely recommend staying! By the way, the boy on the picture with Boris Johnson is the manager nowadays, although the pic was taken in 2008. This shows just how many years of experience they’ve had greeting international clients at this amazing resort! :)

While the price was a little high compared to other places of this standard, you cannot beat it for its location and the serenity of the environment that it is situated within. The staff are great and do their best to make sure that you have what you need and when you need it. The views from the room, if it isn't foggy, are simply stunning and time seems to stand still when you are staying there. Stan kindly provided us with transport to and from the Great Wall and this helped to set up a wonderful day for us.

The landloard are simply the best people I have met on my way so far. They helped me a lot and they dedicated me a lot of time. Unfortunately someone had stolen my phone while I was visiting Great Wall of China and the girl working at Garden Guesthouse came with me to look for it and called the Police for me who finally manage fo find it. Great Wall of China is just 20 min walking from the Guesthouse and the accomodation is very nice with a lovely Garden and a swimmingpool and biliard table.. Also beds are comfortable and toilets clean equipped with shower soups. Also there is restaurant to have lunch and dinner if you need with economic prices. Thank you for everything. I highly recommend this place.
