Xi'an - one of the oldest cities in China.

Xi'an - one of the oldest cities in China. Known as Chang'an throughout much of its history, Xi'an is one of China's Four Great Ancient Capitals, having held the position under several of the most important dynasties in Chinese history - we were impressed! The city offers many attractions worth seeing: Xi'an City Wall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Great Mosque of Xi'an, Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, historical museum, Xi'an City Museum, market... The famous Terracotta Army Museum is only an hour's drive away. We booked a guided tour (transportation, tickets, and guide cost around 200 EUR for a family of four) from home. A big advantage of the city is also the public bike rental. It's free for up to one hour. The city of Xi'an is very well-organized and clean. Local taxis (you can recognize them by their green color) are ridiculously cheap. The streets are full of local eateries, various shops, and stalls... The city is lively, vibrant, and the eateries and shops are open late into the night. It's also very safe - we walked around the city streets, even the more secluded ones, until late hours every day, and we weren't even a little scared. The people are very friendly and accommodating. Food in restaurants is very cheap and very tasty, as well as on the streets. We spent an average of €7-9 for lunch for 4 people, including drinks!!! If you are "wasteful", you can pay 30 EUR, for example. For those who like shopping, there are also quite a few really large shopping centers in the city (e.g. Saga Mall). The city offers everything - from cheap things to luxury products for deep pockets;-)

The terracotta warriors have been on my bucket list for years- the scale of the site and precision of the figures did not disappoint! It was an emotional moment. What i was not prepared for was what else the city has to offer - the extensive history, the artwork, the culture…..then there is the food! A foodies paradise - a different dish and taste sensation for every day. A cultural smorgasbord, artistic and educational hub. A must see when in China.

The location is fantastic! The Drum Tower is a very short walk away, so is the Bell Tower. The Muslim Quarter and its food market is right around the corner, the metro station is a few minutes away and, by the way, the Xi'an metro is excellent. Very affordable, very clean hotel, it is a great deal when traveling on a limited budget. I would like to mention lovely Miss Spring who was so courteous and helpful and assisted me in finding a taxi when I left, much appreciated!

Location, close to attractions. Halal food is nearby. Use the side back alley to cross the small gate. Walk up straight to the food area. You will spot a few halal stalls . The property is clean. No smoking smell in the room , that is a plus point for hotels in China . Daily breakfast is acceptable . Free flow of drinking water , coffee and tea throughout our stay . A big plus point too .

Location is great, super close to all the main attractions and the metro station. First time in our trip through China where the hotel staff spoke super fluent English and was really helpful. Breakfast was very nice and complete, with Chinese and Western options. Would definitely recommend!
