We were initially surprised that it was not too close to the city, but we actually loved the location and felt immersed in nature with this spectacular view of the mountains. Being in the city would not have been the same. I am still dreaming about the view and the nearby village! The staff was so helpful and welcoming! Our host was fluent in English which made our trip arrangement easier. The food was really nice for the price! We will definitely be back!

The 90-degree high-temperature laundry service is, without a doubt, a game-changer. We were able to pack light, knowing we could properly sanitize and refresh our entire wardrobe in a few hours. This level of cleanliness extends throughout the property; the offer of sealed, disposable towels and bath towels was a modern touch we've rarely seen and highly valued. The gym allowed us to maintain our routine, and the extensive breakfast buffet provided sustained energy for long days of hiking and cycling. Yangshuo has grown in the last 10 years ... I found it better than the last time I was there. It is much cleaner, much more organised. It has more attractions to see. Love that electric motors are used on scooters and boats ... meaning the place is much quieter. The local people also seemed much friendlier. It is a great escape from busy cities, to go into nature and see how beautiful the natural scenery is.

The view is superb!

The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter . But some point of interests are far apart and required to travel by boat so if you can't be bothered, make sure to have your local tour guide to help.

Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin.

Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin. It is set in beautiful surroundings, with karst hills, forests and rivers, is full of history and interest and is packed with lively bars and restaurants but has easy access to quieter, rural lanes and villages. Visitors love to dress up in local dress and photograph themselves so there's quite a party atmosphere. I loved it and wished I'd stayed longer than two nights.

There is a lot to do in Yangshuo.

There is a lot to do in Yangshuo. Very nice places to see and we can also enjoy some of them using a bike or scooter. Take a cruise on the Li river and enjoy a bamboo boat rafting (quite soft). At nigh don't miss the light show, an amazing event on water with more than 200 artists

We stayed at Chaoyang village, it is close to Yulong River, which is the quieter side of Yangshuo (compartively). The karst landscape is beautiful and the manual bamboo rafting (not motorised like those at Li River) experience is highly recommended!

I had a brilliant stay at this hotel just steps from West Street! The location is perfect for exploring Yangshuo’s lively scene, with shops and eateries right around the corner. The staff’s English was impressive, and they were so helpful, offering great advice and quick assistance whenever I needed it. Their service was warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The room was tidy and comfortable, and the proximity to West Street was a huge bonus. This hotel is a winner for convenience and hospitality

Beautiful location, with breathtaking views from bedroom (the photos are fully accurate). Large spacious room. Staff were very helpful and kind, and went out of their way to help me on several occasions. As is common in many hotels in China, English was quite limited, however, this hotel was the best I encountered at overcoming the language barrier, making excellent use of technology to ensure smooth and immediate communication.

I'm extremely satisfied. The staff here are all very friendly and have provided us with great assistance. The room is very spacious and the view is beautiful. It's larger than many hotels I've stayed in. The breakfast in the restaurant is delicious. During my trip in China, it's finally a place that offers a breakfast friendly to Western tastes. It's been a very pleasant trip.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful. The best I've experienced traveling throughout China. Karlie took very good care of us, spoke excellent English and was amazingly helpful and thoughtful with all of the small details. The hotel is very clean and comfortable with an excellent restaurant on site. Everyone was friendly and helped make our weekend a great one.
