The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand...

The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand canyon breath taking. The glass cliff walk and glass bridges interesting when not in clouds. People's reactions to them hilarious. Some of the hiking so relaxing and the further you go from the lifts, escalators the closer you feel to nature. Be prepared for steps, weather changes and the golden whip is valley hike that anyone can do at any age and so happy to see whole hike wheelchair accessible.

Beautiful place to visit for adventurous trekkers and hikers. GEt close to nature and fresh mountain air. Views at special spots are fantastic. I stayed for a week as we need time to rest after the long hikes. Give allowance for thick mist in the highlands and rainy days where views are not clear and visibility is poor. Visit lowland areas (10 mile gallery and golden whip stream) when highlands are misty. Try to avoid the golden week though there are additional buses and staff to help out. During this period, entering through west gate is helpful as human traffic is lesser.

Beautiful national park to explore and less touristy town full of interesting cuisine and local attractions , not too crowded but lively in the evenings, mountains and glass walk ways amazing , some beautiful under rated ancient Buddha Temples at the top of Tianmin mountain we enjoyed more than Beijing

Stunning!

Stunning! our 2nd favorite natural attraction in China, 2nd only to Huangshan Mountain. lots of great trails with exceptional views of a singular landscape. we stayed inside the park at YOLO hotel, which made access very easy. fortunately, transportation inside the park is shuttle bus only, they run frequently, and there's no congestion from private autos like you get at Yosemite. there's a big focus on "Avatar", but that is only one pillar of hundreds. Zhangjiajie is like Arizona's Grand Canyon except in a temperate rain forest, and on a more intimate scale, plus there are no incessant helicopters or mule feces.

Amazing place.

Amazing place. My focus was in the nature and zhangjiajie definitely delivered. Everything went super smoothly, but couple didi drivers tried to scam more money by adding extra fees in the app. Luckily didi customer service was good and got it fixed. Besides that small thing everything else was 10/10 for me, i strongly recommend visiting.

We arrived Monday evening, explored all day Tuesday, then left Wednesday morning. I would have loved more time but felt like we saw a lot in the time we had. Tuesday morning we went to Zhangjiajie National Forest through the east gate. We went straight to the Bailong elevator, hiked around, then took the bus to Yangjiajie and hiked around a little more. We then took multiple bus rides and took the cable car back to the east gate. A driver picked us up and took us to Zhangjiajie city where we bought tickets for Tianmen Shan, B route (one thing to note is that route B and C have you climb the 999 stairs up, route A has you go down the 999 stairs). It was all so beautiful! Wednesday morning we went to the south gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest and did a quick but gorgeous and peaceful hike, hoping to see monkeys, which we did. I loved our trip but would have loved two or three days to explore the area more extensively.

Merry and her family were very kind, welcoming and helpful hosts. The homestay is located in the immediate vicinity of one of the main entrances of the Zhangjiajie national park. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean, and Merry's cooking is delicious. Also, Merry can arrange a private shuttle from the airport as well as tickets for the park, and will advise you on the best program depending of the time you have in the area. All in all, one of the best hotels I visited during my stay in Hunan, with the greatest hosts!

Great location for visiting the Zhangjiajie National Park. A short walk from the hotel to one of the quietest entrances to the park, you can avoid massive crowds and queues. The hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful, they can speak fluent English,they can help you solve any questions. providing walking routes and tips for the all the scenic areas in Zhangjiajie. They also helped with booking tickets and transport. The food at the hotel is tasty.Breakfast is amazing for foreigner.

The hotel is a great base for visiting Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It is just a 15 min walk to the Southeastern gate, and we even got a ride by the hotel staff. That enabled us to enter the park early in the morning before most of the visitors arrived. The room was very nice and stylish, the staff exceptionally friendly. David even arranged to have our bags sent back to the city on our last day so we wouldn't have to carry them to the Grand Canyon.

Really nice staff (especially Zhong Hongmei). Family hotel with nice and wram atmosphere. We got help for everything. They arranged for Tianmen and Zhangjiajie national forest park tickets, transport and lots of advices. You There was wash machine and dryer at the hotel. Comfortable beds.
