Remarkably painless. Location proves strategic - a mere 8 minute 23 second constitutional to Zhangjiajie's park gates. Breakfast apparatus adequate (self-serve coffee machine produced tolerable espresso, surprising given the circumstances).  Facilities performed to specification:  Gym equipment maintained at acceptable levels of oxidation Billiard table pockets demonstrated appropriate receptivity Laundry operations prevented sartorial disaster post-monsoon hike The concierge team displayed unsettling competence - mapped three days' itinerary with alarming precision. One almost felt guilty observing their systematized efficiency.  Ground floor establishment yielded passable dumplings (though the 'Stinky Tofu Incident' shall remain classified).

I stayed at this hotel with three friends in Zhangjiajie and had an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our host, Winnie, who was very enthusiastic and helpful throughout our stay. The check-in process was smooth, and our rooms were luxurious, spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel’s service was top-notch, especially thanks to Winnie. She provided excellent advice on things to do in the area and helped us plan our days in a way that made everything run smoothly. Whenever we had questions, she was quick to assist. The hotel also offers a great swimming pool and a restaurant with tasty local food. The location was perfect—just a short ride to the National Park entrance. Every morning, we were taken to the park by golf cart, and Winnie also helped arrange taxis when we needed to go elsewhere or needed airport transport. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Zhangjiajie.

A truly excellent hotel offering all the essential amenities: spacious and luxurious rooms, a projector, breakfast, and laundry services. Its location is ideal: just steps from the entrance to Zhangjiajie National Park and set within a charming, cozy town. What sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding staff. From day one, they were exceptionally helpful, explaining in detail all the activities in the Zhangjiajie area, creating a complete visit plan for us, and arranging tickets. Their hospitality went far beyond expectations: when we asked if they had a basketball for the nearby court, they didn’t, so they went out and bought one within minutes. Later, when we lost an item in a Didi, they immediately contacted the driver and arranged its return, sparing us significant trouble and expecting nothing in return.

The staff, with special mention to Anthony, were exceptional. They were communicative, friendly and always ensured we had a plan for the day, ensuring we maximised our sightseeing time. The guesthouse was in a great location, clean and well maintained. Highly recommend for your stay in Zhangjiajie.

Very nice hotel run by a family. They provided a map of the national park and planned out an amazing two day route which allowed us to pretty much see all of it. Hotel is just a short walk from the east entrance of the park.

My second visit and for sure not the last. Super friendly and helpful staff, great location, quite and amazing view, unique and large rooms . Highly recommend. The best in zhangjiajie. (bonus: if you like cute and friendly cats and dogs they are all around :).

We arrived in China by train from Hong Kong. We came completely unprepared, without roaming, without Chinese yuan, without a hotel address in Chinese, without a route plan for the park. By some miracle, a local guy brought us from the train station to the hotel using GPS coordinates. At the hotel, we paid for our transfer, were treated to tea, bought tickets to the park, and were given a route plan. The staff didn't speak English, but we understood each other perfectly with the help of a translator. They helped us solve all our problems and plan our days in this area. They always found and brought us to the hotel by car, considering that we didn't have internet. In general, it was delightful! And the hotel itself was very comfortable. The view, cleanliness, style. Everything was superb!

One of the best Apartments I have ever booked. It was very modern, everything was clean and we had a great view on the mountains. Also was there a billard table and the whole shared space was pretty nice. The Host helped us everyday to get to the attractions near the area. If you go to Zhangjiajie I would totaly recommend this apartment.

Overall, the entrance fees of National Park is expensive as it sold as 4 days entry . Tiemen Mt , Grand Canyon and Dragon Caves adding up are costly for family of four. Dining out in restaurants are more expensive than other city like Chong Qing , Shang hai ,etc…. The nature of both mountains are breathtaking and people are friendly.

Be prepared to walk and climb plenty of steps. Thank goodness they have escalators up Tianmenshen and cable cars & lifts up and down the mountains. Take your time, enjoy the fresh air and awesome views.

The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand...

The nature in national park and Tianmen mountain and Grand canyon breath taking. The glass cliff walk and glass bridges interesting when not in clouds. People's reactions to them hilarious. Some of the hiking so relaxing and the further you go from the lifts, escalators the closer you feel to nature. Be prepared for steps, weather changes and the golden whip is valley hike that anyone can do at any age and so happy to see whole hike wheelchair accessible.

Beautiful place to visit for adventurous trekkers and hikers. GEt close to nature and fresh mountain air. Views at special spots are fantastic. I stayed for a week as we need time to rest after the long hikes. Give allowance for thick mist in the highlands and rainy days where views are not clear and visibility is poor. Visit lowland areas (10 mile gallery and golden whip stream) when highlands are misty. Try to avoid the golden week though there are additional buses and staff to help out. During this period, entering through west gate is helpful as human traffic is lesser.

Beautiful national park to explore and less touristy town full of interesting cuisine and local attractions , not too crowded but lively in the evenings, mountains and glass walk ways amazing , some beautiful under rated ancient Buddha Temples at the top of Tianmin mountain we enjoyed more than Beijing

Stunning!

Stunning! our 2nd favorite natural attraction in China, 2nd only to Huangshan Mountain. lots of great trails with exceptional views of a singular landscape. we stayed inside the park at YOLO hotel, which made access very easy. fortunately, transportation inside the park is shuttle bus only, they run frequently, and there's no congestion from private autos like you get at Yosemite. there's a big focus on "Avatar", but that is only one pillar of hundreds. Zhangjiajie is like Arizona's Grand Canyon except in a temperate rain forest, and on a more intimate scale, plus there are no incessant helicopters or mule feces.

We’re we’re stunned by this amazing hotel. Beautiful rooms with wooden furniture, super high tech, comfy beds, breathtaking rooftop terrace and a perfect service. The crew made the stay unforgettable! Thanks to the two guys for picking us up and helping us with everything, to Lily for organising our tickets to Zhangjiajie National Park, to the female chef for the great Chinese breakfast and to the owner for a moonfest-party-invitation! We would love to come back one day!

The staff is very helpful and kind. They helped us plan our itenary and book tickets on our behalf. The hotel also offers a free airport pickup by car and shuttle to Zhangjiajie National Park Middle gate. The swimming pool is well maintained and great pleasure to swin after a long day of hiking. From the pool you have direct mountain view, and by taxi it is only 14 minutes to the national park and about 30 minutes to Wulingyuan village.

Host was really dedicated to ensuring we got the most out of our stay. Not only did he pick us up from the airport, but he mapped out in detail how best to explore Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain, including making all necessary bookings for us. I have never seen this level of care from a host before, and it is the sole reason I am taking the time to leave this review.

The hotel is super well located : -10min walk if you want to join the starting point for Tianmen -300m from a bus that bring you directly to Zhangjiajie national park The room is clean and comfortable. And finally a special word for the host. She is the nicest person we have met in China so far ! She tries to help you all the time in our stay there. Many thanks to her !!
