The hotel is conveniently located within the city center of Shangri-La, just a 10 min walk away from the main square and very close to plenty of cafes and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and fully equipped with heater for the cold, heated toilet, bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast was included and it was delicious - eggs, bacon, sausage, toast with butter and fruit. A special shoutout to the owner Gesang who was absolutely amazing in taking us to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shibaoshan Grottes (one of our favorite visits in China!). She also had great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Shangri-La.

Wonderful warm and quiet rooms; super clean; excellent location: Not very far from the amazing Shangbala Tibetan Culture Museum - only USD 1.50 [10+ RMB] by taxi. Many restaurants and a very modern supermarket are in easy walking distance of the Hotel. There are several pharmacies and a TCM shop nearby. Problems with the high altitude - 3400 m? Try taking Rhodiola rosea / 紅景天, which costs rather little.
