This is not like your generic hostel for backpackers, we stayed in a basic room with shared bathroom facilities and it felt like we were splurging on luxury! Super modern, so clean, fantastic bedding, hot showers with great pressure, complimentary shampoo/body wash, very quiet in off season. It has some great activities and atmosphere in the main area, my partner played in poker night on Sunday, and every night people from around the town come to hang out and drink there. There’s a pool table, tour desk, pool etc. l didn’t really engage in much activities but loved the friendly atmosphere and things to do. Also a short 2-5min walk to playa grande beach to surf or hang out. Has free parking (which saved us $10 from parking at playa grande). Has some restaurants nearby that you can walk to as well, although if you’re backpacking and don’t have a car it is quite far from Tamarindo etc so just a heads up you’d have to pay for a taxi etc if you’re interested in doing that. This kind of area is best suited if you want to chill at the beach or surf and that’s about it. We had a car so we could adventure around and outside of the town more so it was great.

The owners are friendly and accommodating. They gave me great recommendations for places to visit. The property is gated and feels very safe, and provides a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the town. My room was very clean and comfortable. The room had a refrigerator, the shared kitchen had the equipment for making simple meals or reheating leftovers.

We like everything! Small stylish hotel, unique design in all, even small details, very clean, tasty breakfast, close to the center of Tamarindo, but so quiet at the same time and only 100 meters to the beach. Rooms were good, some of our family were in the 2 bedroom with kitchen and we had a single room. Breakfast was great and our lovely cook remembered my husband doesn't like watermelon so didn't bring him any. They set us up at our table with our family in front of their room each a day. Front desk was helpful.

We booked a night last minute after a small schedule issue in our planning. And we were welcomed so kindly, the staff was so attentive and kind, always checking if we had everything we needed. The place is really beautiful, very clean And the morning breakfast (special pancake) was just delicious. We were so positively surprised by this place, we keep it in mind for our next visit !

Best kept hotel I have ever been at - the whole staff works hard and it shows! The entire place was spotless (would have eaten off of the floor). Staff were all very kind. Really appreciated the ambiant sounds played near the pool - we felt like we were staying at a spa, which was very relaxing. If you want to stay in an oasis of calm in the heart of the bustling city of Tamarindo - I highly recommend this hotel! Bonus: spotting monkeys a few meters away when eating breakfast.
