The house is located right on the edge of a forest. There’s complete silence — filled only with birdsong and the sounds of the wild forest at night. And yet, we felt a deep sense of peace and safety. We had no hesitation letting our four-year-old play around the house and wander with us along the forest stream. The house itself is spacious, cozy, and safe, with everything you might need — plus lots of toys for children and games for adults. You can choose to heat it with the wood-burning stove or electric heaters. The underfloor heating on a cold day was just fantastic! We truly enjoyed every single day in this home. Although it feels like a peaceful, remote getaway in nature, a large shopping center is just a 15-minute drive away — so you’re never too far from anything you might need. Just a note: you do need a car to get there. And there’s very little reception — the Wi-Fi is quite weak, and mobile signal comes and goes. This wasn’t a downside for us at all, but it’s good to be aware of it.

We loved everything from the moment we walked in. It is warm and cozy, maintained at a very high level. A lot of thought was given to every detail. Chateau Loucen was fantastic. We spent our honeymoon in the Thurn-Taxis apartment, which is in the historical part of the chateau. The room is very regal and luxurious, the bathroom was particularly grand with a free-standing bath. It was clean and had everything you could need from a hotel room. The hotel has plenty to do, the restaurant is excellent, the whirlpool is very private and comfortable, and the grounds are filled with labyrinths and mazes.

We had no trouble to find it, tired and hot after a long hike, we refreshed in the pub's garden. Amazing! We booked a table for the evening and had a simple meal, tasty pizza, with nice wine. Service for very attentive. The room was great, with 2 large roof windows, comfy beds and a hot shower.

The chateau was so beautiful and decorated nicely into the details. It was like going back in time but nothing outdated and in a very good state. The service was exceptional and the staff really wanted to make you feel welcome and looked after. We had wellness and treatments booked beforehand and it was one of the best massages I had in a long time. They also gave some free samples to try after the treatment. I would recommend the Mcely bath of love for a relaxing romantic experience. My skin was super soft afterwards! The food in the restaurant was also delicious.
