For those who appreciate peace and quite it's just the best choice. We stayed there in May with family just for overnight sleep and it was perfect, should stay longer. Owner welcomed us at arrival, room had all we needed. Kids were so happy when they saw a basket full of lego cars. Great spot for walking arround. Oh, breakfast served in the room was just the top of everything.

Stayed with my family for 3 days, easy check in. Great location and the place was quiet. Great view of the river and the castle. We had two big rooms and a big bathroom. There was a shared kitchen with all the essentials on the same floor. The staff was amazing and very helpful. River rafting is very popular there and we tried it with our kids and a dog, everyone loved it.

A small town, it lies right on the Vltava River.

A small town, it lies right on the Vltava River. Opposite the hotel, on the other side of the Vltava, on the escarpment stood a castle and another structure, probably also a castle. Since I was there for only one night, I can't say anything more about these structures.

Very helpful and attentive service, overall the staff was very pleasant. For me as a non-beer person, the raspberry beer was a great choice, my friend also appreciated the other beers. We had goulash and wild boar in panko breadcrumbs which I would describe as average, if the beef in the beer goulash was softer it would not be a mistake. Breakfast very rich and nicely prepared. Super destination in terms of price and distance from Lipno.

An ideal starting point for a paddling trip on the Vltava...

An ideal starting point for a paddling trip on the Vltava River. Several accommodations are available locally. There are lovely restaurants with river access. Parking is scarce, and law enforcement is always present. A great new brewery and restaurant is also on hand!

In autumn and spring, a quiet place. Which suited us. We took trips to Vyšší Brod, Český Krumlov, the surrounding nature. We returned to the accommodation, which, in addition to comfortable accommodation, also offers excellent food and beer.

The town with its beautiful castle still retains a certain...

The town with its beautiful castle still retains a certain authenticity. It's right on the Vltava River, where you can watch the water sports enthusiasts paddling by, or even get active yourself. There are many restaurants, and from there you can easily visit numerous destinations in the surrounding area (Český Krumlov, the Lipno Reservoir, Austria, and Vyšší Brod, to name a few).

A magical place with a touch of history at every turn. Parking is not easy, and out of season there are limited dining options, but the brewery makes up for it, both with its cuisine and the possibility of a tour of the brewery.

Traditional hotel in an old building on the bank of the Vltava river with a view of the castle. Nice and large rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast fresh and plentiful, if you want other meals, there is a restaurant on the groundfloor. Nice place to stay for a day or two when you plan to do some sightseeing in Southern Bohemia (and there is quite a lot to see nearby!)
