It's well served by local trains for trips along the Rhein to other places of interest if you don't want to drive everywhere. Beautiful small place with lots to see and do. 30 minutes by train to Basel (Switzerland) or 45 minutes to Schaffhausen (Rheinfall) or just over 1 hour to Lake Konstanz. The apartment is spacious and is generously equipped with everything one might need for self-catering. The pot and pans, implements and gadgets are all of high quality – and the range is better than I have at home! Although in the centre of Bad Säckingen, the accommodation is very quiet, with a large terrace on which to enjoy the afternoon sun ( when it shines!)
