Great location for a stop when exploring the Black Forest region. We managed to explore Baden-Baden and Triberg before making our way down to Hofgut Sternen for the night. The food at the restaurant was sooo delicious as well - Did not expect much for a small restaurant in the middle of the forest but the food was flavourful and the price was reasonable as well (50eur/pp for 1 soup and 1 huge main). Room was spacious and clean, and I loved that the toilet had a heated drying rack. We reached there before sunset to explore the surrounding areas, and we absolutely loved the short walk near the Ravenna Railway Duct. The quiet and peaceful walk lead us to a small waterfall. The whole area just felt very quaint and peaceful which was really nice :)

As we are long time bicycle travellers, the hotel was in a very convenient place after a 30 km climb. To our surprise, the hotel is owned by an Indian family and, as we love Indian food, the cook made us a fantastic Indian breakfast. Thank you again, that was so nice of you. Hopefully the restaurant will open soon because the man who cooked our breakfast will definitely cook a very tasty meal as well.

It was tucked away a couple of miles off the main road with spectacular distant views over the black forest areas. Fabulous sunsets, peaceful and quiet with cows grazing next to the property. We were two couples traveling through Europe and Bauerleshutte was a perfect place to stay for 3 days. Would recommend as it had everything we were looking for. The view was amazing. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake. The infinity pool also had a fantastic view. The room was huge - we could have spent the day there. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, they waited until we were out of the room to clean, helped us with cycling trails and setting up their bikes, very attentive without being suffocating at meal times, reception and the bar.

The location is outstanding, with all the comfort one can expect. The dinners were fabulous, very different from the "average" schnitzel one can get in Germany. The service by Cara was perfect and friendly. There are 2 pools, multiple saunas, a well equipped fitness room, and a fabulous garden away from city noises.

If I am ever in Black Forest, this is exactly where I will be staying again and again. The place is run by a very kind American Indian couple who greets you with a warm smile and makes you feel comfortable instantly. I was here for Ravennaschlucht/ Ravenna gorge Christmas market and Hotel Faller’s location was great. Just 7 minutes bus ride to Hinterzarten and the frequency is good, buses stop right in front of the hotel. Food was great, my room was nice and spacious. A very comfortable bed. I totally recommend.

Ravenna Lodge is stunning. The property is well looked after, sits in a Ravine next to a stream and is very calm and relaxing. It's open plan so feels very spacious. The hosts are amazing, very friendly and helpful, we couldn't have asked for more. If you don't want to cook then you can go to the hotel approximately 150 meters away.
