Location was perfect for us as we were moving out of a house in the town. Breakfast was exceptional and delicious. We had dinner at the hotel as well and whilst the food was delicious it was expensive for what we had. Reception at the hotel was first class and when we arrived for the second time, he remembered my name. Exceptional.

A modern, well equipped, spotlessly clean room, with comfortable bed and great ensuite shower room. The continental breakfast was really well prepared, offering a fresh selection and warm rolls. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great location, right next to a wood and close enough to walk into Bruggen town which is beautiful and has lots of restaurants and ice cream cafes to choose from. We stayed in a caravan which was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly.

Beautiful location. Room clean and had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great and the evening meal we had in the restaurant was one of the best I have ever enjoyed. Fantastic service.

Bueggen and its surroundings are very beautiful but it would be handy to have a car (we didn't). Favourite places were the castle, the mill and the Torschenke and the walks along the river Schwalm and the Woods through to Schloss Dilborn. The Hariksee is also worth seeing but you would need a car.

A small town with good grocery supplies south of Venlo, not far from the Dutch border, offering many shopping and sightseeing opportunities in nearby cities. There are several good restaurants here that are inviting for a meal.

Even in the cold and rainy weather, we enjoyed Brüggen.

Even in the cold and rainy weather, we enjoyed Brüggen. The two of us were able to get a Thai massage right away, while our dog waited at the counter. It was fantastic. There are plenty of restaurants, many of which are very dog-friendly. It's a beautiful town!

Brüggen is an ancient town with a very old, small castle...

Brüggen is an ancient town with a very old, small castle complex. Within the castle walls is a small museum and two traditional restaurants. We felt that these restaurants could improve in many areas, particularly the friendliness and competence of the staff. Otherwise, Brüggen is very idyllic with lots of greenery.

Brüggen is a bit dull this time of year, and for my taste, it has too many Dutch-focused snack bars. I ate at Di Marcello, which was cozy and had friendly service, but the food wasn't particularly special and the price was a bit high for the quality. The cappuccino was awful, but the wine, on the other hand, was very good. Expensive bottled water.

A small, historic town with excellent hiking opportunities...

A small, historic town with excellent hiking opportunities and a nearby zoo, which is a plus if you have children. There are also very good restaurants and excellent breakfast options. Everything is centrally located in the pedestrian zone.
