At first I couldn't find the plot, I had to get out of the car and go find it on foot. That didn't matter at all, what I saw next it exceeded my expectations. I recommend it to everyone.

It's a lovely old building in a quiet village about 10 minutes drive from the busier Eschwege. The owner was very helpful and friendly and spoke English, guests are left to do their own thing, tea and coffee, etc was free and available in a communal kitchen. Beer available in the fridge at normal prices, just pay for what you take. Outdoor area great for relaxing

Just before arrival we were informed that the property we book is not available and they offer us another one. We did accept it as we did a bike tour and we have no choice. When we arrive we saw a very shabby house and when the property owner asked us to send him copy of our id it was too much…. Different property then we book, shabby house, pressure to send id to get code to the shabby house …. This look very suspicious…so we left and look for another place. Even if we loose the money it was right decision not to do any business with such people. It is first time we had a such a unpleasant situation since years.

So pleased to have discovered this gem of a hotel in a tucked-away part of Germany. Our room was huge, beautifully proportioned and spotlessly clean, with a large and very comfortable bed and a neat en-suite shower room. The wifi in the room was excellent, stable enough for a two-hour video conference without as much as a blip. Free parking conveniently at the back of the property; sumptuous breakfast; and Mrs Langosch couldn’t have been more helpful and hospitable (and in excellent English, too). We will be back!
