Very nice hotel. Lovely quiet location. The room was a great size and very comfortable. The staff were excellent and both dinner and breakfast in the hotel were fantastic.

A rural hamlet in the rolling Black Forest countryside. The hotel is very well maintained and brilliantly set up for self-catering with really well equipped kitchens even down to good quality cook-ware, crockery, utensils and so on. Our 2-bed apartment was very spacious indeed, very well appointed, a treat for a few days. The hotel has a restaurant with an excellent reputation but we did not use it as closed on the two evenings we were there,

Very lovely end to a long day of mountain biking with the family. The staff were friendly, patient with our German, and flexible (as we needed to rebook), and the rooms were clean and cozy. We had supper in the restaurant and it was the best German food we have had, particularly the Rehe Ragout (venison stew). Very nice buffet breakfast too. Highly recommend!

Superb stay. Friendly family run guesthouse. Beautifully situated, driving through the forest to get here. Beautiful views. Large clean spacious room leading to a large shared terrace that can be partitioned for privacy. Room no.4 had tea, coffee facilities, sofa and table and a large, clean bathroom. No fridge in the bedroom, but water and drinks available from shared fridge in the landing. A lovely touch when holidaying in Germany. Breakfast was delicious with choice of meats, cheese, jams, fresh bread rolls and juice, and their scrambled eggs were the best ever! Beautiful restaurant also for an evening meal. We had the steak, and their grilled meat plate. Homemade fries and more fresh vegetables would have been more appreciated on the plate rather than just shop bought fries. However the meat was perfectly cooked. Dessert was delicious. Great choice of wine available.

The quality of the rooms were excellent. The area was lovely and quiet, we stayed two nights and were very happy. Car park right outside. We had dinner one night and was impressed by that too, also very busy with local people, that's always a good sign 👍

This is a beautiful area and I shall certainly return.

This is a beautiful area and I shall certainly return. It's for those people who like peace, tranquility and enjoy walking. Our favorite spot was Nonnenmattweiher but there are plenty of places to visit. I would suggest going over the weekend or later in the week as quite a few things were shut on the Monday and Tuesday of our stay.

Beautiful surroundings with many hiking trails.

Beautiful surroundings with many hiking trails. Good shops nearby. There was also a beautiful outdoor pool a 20-minute drive away. Friendly people everywhere. The card for free transport in the Black Forest is also handy.

The apartment is located in a typical and charming village of the Black Forest, 20 minutes from any means of communication. Very close to everywhere. Right in the middle between Basel, Freiburg im Briesgau and Mulhouse.

It's a lovely, spacious, and clean room.

It's a lovely, spacious, and clean room. A lovely, spacious bathroom with a hairdryer and hair straightener. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Everything has been thought of. The host and hostess are helpful, honest, and kind. The only downside is the slow Wi-Fi/internet connection. But that's probably because you're surrounded by mountains.

A very beautiful area, you feel very comfortable here. There are many opportunities for activities: hiking, walking, cycling, etc. The air is so lovely. The peace and quiet are truly relaxing. We would love to come back.
