The room was cosy, very well decorated and welcoming. It was clean and the bathroom was pretty spacious for a hotel bathroom. Breakfast was great, there’s plenty to choose from. Owner was really nice too. Definitely recommend.

The refurbishment has been done to an exceptionally high standard throughout. The dining areas are beautifully furnished and decorated and the food was simply first class. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and spacious, with excellent en suite facilities. The staff were without exception warmly welcoming.

This hotel is in a beautiful little town. Our room had a balcony and had lovely views over the garden . We had the buffet meal in the dining room and the head waiter was so helpful re the food options and wine . His English was excellent , sadly our German is shocking. Our 2 dogs were allowed in the dining room with us at meal times . Will definitely return .

A small, quiet place with friendly people, a grocery and beverage store, and a bakery with delicious treats. However, there aren't many places to eat in the village itself, but that doesn't detract from the overall experience. In just a few minutes by car, you can reach one of the many lovely restaurants along the Moselle River.

A very old village.

A very old village. It was certainly more lively in the past, but this unspeakable political situation is destroying everything. Easily accessible by train, when it runs. The guesthouse is about 200 meters from the station.

A somewhat sleepy place these days, but with good transport links and highly recommended for people seeking peace and quiet on holiday. Very well suited as a base for an active holiday on the Lower Moselle.

The location on the Mosel and the Niederburg are Kobern-...

The location on the Mosel and the Niederburg are Kobern-Gondorf's strengths. Otherwise, it was noticeable that there's little activity, except for the four places where you can eat at the market square. Perhaps it's better during the wine season.

Beautiful historic wine village.

Beautiful historic wine village. Unfortunately, it's only recommended from Friday to Sunday. Almost everything is closed during the week. Many attractions are also closed and probably won't reopen.

Very small town. Kind of deserted. Only one pub was open.

Very small town. Kind of deserted. Only one pub was open. The restaurants were good, the food plentiful and delicious. We took a two-hour horse-drawn carriage ride. The scenery was very beautiful, but I had imagined it would be more. There was absolutely no information provided during the entire ride. The boat trip was also very nice. 😀

It is a quaint hotel. Old but with style. Friendly staff. We had apartment style rooms, which consisted of 3 bedrooms and a bathroom connected by a private corridor (no kitchen). Comfy beds. Breakfast was excellent (fresh rolls!) (unfortunately, only German coffee, not strong). From the hotel, it was a short walk to the Moselle. By following the footpath on the river bank, you can walk to the next village which has restaurants and a supermarket. We had a lovely stay and would return.

We had the "Junior Suite" - room 2. This is on the top floor with 3 windows overlooking the fabulous town square. There must be few hotels in the world with such a nice view over a market square. Everything was clean, comfortable, and worked well in our suite, Friendly and accommodating owners too.

The Hotel was really beautiful & had a lot of character. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb. Kobern-Gondorf is a gem of a characterful village.
