Meissen is a very beautiful and interesting city with many small, romantic alleyways and numerous places to eat and drink. It also boasts many sights, such as the cathedral, Albrechtsburg Castle, the market church, and more. The porcelain manufactory is also highly recommended.

Meissen, as a historical town, is always worth a visit. Unfortunately, the city seems to be somewhat economically disadvantaged. There is a lot of vacant and dilapidated housing. The number of restaurants also seems to be declining.

Beautiful town...worth a two-day visit in itself. Dresden is also easily accessible by train from Meissen. Beautiful castles nearby. Good bus connections. Interesting wine region for wine enthusiasts (drive possible).

The city of Meissen is worth a visit even at this time of...

The city of Meissen is worth a visit even at this time of year. You can sample the new wine everywhere, and many restaurants offer delicious meals. In the evening, we went to the theater to see "An Evening with Henry Hübchen, Günther Fischer & Robert Rauh." It was simply wonderful. On Sunday, we took a trip to Albrechtsburg Castle and the cathedral.

Meissen and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful.

Meissen and the surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the traffic in Meissen is a complete disaster. It's practically impossible to reach the hotel by car. Of course, it depends on the specific accommodation. But there are nice, large parking lots down by the water. A walk through the vineyards is highly recommended.

Great hotel at the city centre. Everything is in a walking distance. Even with kids :-) Parking place is 350 m away available per €5/day. Shops (REWE) is 5 min by walk. All sightseeings are around 10-15 walking distance. Nice place to explore the city. Room and hotel is very clean, comfortable, warm, quiet. The church bells sounds so nice! Breakfast is a top! One of the best breakfast I ever had during my trips. 10/10!

It was very comfortable, the suite was very nice, the private sauna and the bath tube were amazing. I had really lovely days there as a surprise for my boyfriend and I was able to book via the hotel a bouquet of flowers as a gift and the staff leave it in the room with a very cute note. I found very nice and lovely. And also the staff in the wellness area and the kitchen were very kind and friendly.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Meissen so if you're into urban tourism, do not hesitate to book a room. The building is full of character and the breakfast was outstanding (prosecco included)! We even ate in the hotel restaurant and we can also recommend that! Really tasty.
