It was a perfect place to stop and have a comfortable night of sleep before continuing a road trip. Extremely clean, very helpful staff and delicious fresh breakfast. All this in an adorable building. Definitely worth the price.

Really warm welcome for us with wine and snacks after our long journey - what a fabulous host! Very communicative and helpful. The apartment is beautifully decorated to high standards and the bed was so comfortable. The microwave and dishwasher were so easy to use once you figured out the symbols. We didn’t need to use the oven. This apartment was perfect for our needs. Glad we travel with our own fan however as it was very warm during our stay. Quiet cul-de-sac and own parking space. Very short walk to the small town centre - you are spoilt for choice of restaurants and the massive EDEKA and ALDI are just round the corner across the road. Gorgeous nature walk 15 mins out of town on foot, sculpture park and woodlands/fields beyond. There’s also a vinyl museum (Tekefunken/Decca) for music enthusiasts. This town has it all! We would definitely come again. We loved it here and decided we would like to stay even longer!

What a lot of lovely smiley people! The management and staff and their guests seemed very cheerful when we stayed - as were we. It is worth a tiny diversion to take advantage of the lovely peaceful countryside, and the comfort and spaciousness of this family run hotel. Dinner was great and reasonably priced, and breakfast was perfect. Highly recommended.

We were visiting relatives there.

We were visiting relatives there. The area is great for hiking. We recommend the café at Boxberg; the cakes and pastries are huge for the price. The hot meals are also excellent. We also recommend the dog beach in Laboe, which takes about an hour to get there.

Nortorf boasts a sculpture park that's lovely to explore by bicycle. In front of St. Mary's Church stands the colorful sculpture "The Emancipated Man," depicting an older, grim-faced couple sitting on a bench. The man is knitting, and the woman sits beside him reading a book. They don't look particularly happy.

We arrive a bit late because of a stau on autobahn. No room available as the hotel was foolly booked.So the only alternative was receiving a room outside in annex . Room had no windows which makes impossible to accept especially when the description in the booking was different. We refused and ask for another room but they had none available. At the end, the owner was trying to find a solution and was very kind to arrange for us accomodation to the next hotel close to it.

The Location was perfect The property had a lot of character the staff were extremely polite and helpful.We normally stay in another hotel but it’s closed down and we really thought that would never find a hotel to match the high standard and quality of the previous hotel. Hotel is a very high standard and I would highly recommend it.

We stayed in Hotel Kirchspiels Gasthaus on our way to Denmark. We had a very nice and clean family room for the 5 of us and a lovely breakfast. But above all, a very nice welcome and an excellent service from the owners during our stay, what a great hospitality!
