Our bedroom suite was wonderful! The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious. A bonus is eggs made to order. The hotel is located in the centre of Scheidegg and its easy to walk everywhere. Because we stayed a bit longer it was lovely to get to know our host and his wife!

A quiet village in a beautiful pre-Alpine landscape.

A quiet village in a beautiful pre-Alpine landscape. Many lovely hikes through the hilly terrain are possible in the area. The border trail is highly recommended. Unfortunately, all three restaurants in the village were closed during our visit in early September. The beautifully situated outdoor swimming pool is a great option in the summer.

I've known Oberreute for several years now.

I've known Oberreute for several years now. I always enjoy visiting, whether alone or with family and friends. Thanks in part to the wonderful young mayor, Oberreute is developing in the right direction. There's always something new to discover, and you can feel the contentment among the locals.

I can recommend the Krone as a tip, provided you're not looking for luxury but rather simple and clean rooms. I can't comment on the dinner, as I didn't try it.

Positive: Received very good information from the tourist...

Positive: Received very good information from the tourist information office; Oberreute is the starting point for many hiking trails; good selection in the village shop; roads are very well maintained, you can quickly reach Lake Constance or Austria. Negative: Too few restaurants; reservations for dinner are recommended; very good food at the Gasthaus zum Hirschen (near Fezzo) and at the Landhotel Krone.

We really enjoyed our stay there because it was nice and...

We really enjoyed our stay there because it was nice and quiet, had a great village shop, and wasn't too far from various ski resorts. The hike along the Hausbachklamm gorge, especially starting from Weiler, is also highly recommended.

A small, beautiful, and peaceful place.

A small, beautiful, and peaceful place. You can stock up on supplies in the local shops. The village store has a café (very good, with friendly staff), and the cheese is excellent. The butcher in town is superb. There's also a petrol station and a tourist information office. Relaxing and friendly.

I really loved my stay here! It’s not a fancy hotel, but it felt so warm and welcoming — more like staying at a family home in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind. When I checked out, one of them offered me a cup of espresso and waved goodbye as I drove off — such a small but heartwarming gesture. I’d love to come back in the winter for a ski trip!

We visited during Summer time so - The view was very nice and it really helped me relieved from tired working time from my past and serves the purpose of being relaxed. The one thing I liked and found it very Thoughtful is that they were multiple shampoos and shower/handwashing soaps- which I did not find in Hotels officially booked by my company - so keep it up.

Nice and cozy environment with a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was also good, especially the coffee. The hotel has an Italian restaurant with delicious pizza that really rounded out the experience. Would definitely come back!
