Ockholm is a secluded place.

Ockholm is a secluded place. A car is essential if you want to visit Föhr, Amrum, Husum, or go shopping. There is a train station in Langenhorn. From there, you can take a train to both Denmark and Hamburg. However, the Schleswig-Holstein Ticket or the Deutschlandticket (Germany Ticket) is recommended.

The accommodation is very beautiful and in a quiet location. Perfect for a holiday with children. The hosts are very kind and friendly. We received a very warm welcome. The holiday home had everything you could possibly need for a holiday with children. We would definitely book it again. Highly recommended.

I love Ockholm for its proximity to the dike and the bird...

I love Ockholm for its proximity to the dike and the bird sanctuary, and for its peace and quiet! However, there's nothing else there. No entertainment, no shops, no infrastructure. I like it!

Ockholm is a very small and quiet village, not far from the water and a great birdwatching spot. It's not far from Dagebüll, where all the ferries to the islands depart, and the nearest train station for Sylt is a 15-minute drive away, where there's also a park and ride facility. Denmark, Flensburg, and Husum are all within easy reach by car for day trips.

Quietly situated on the North Sea coast, destinations can be reached from here within short driving distances, close to birdwatching stations and bathing beaches, unfortunately there are no shopping facilities and almost no (open restaurants), but these can be found in neighboring towns.

The hotel was located beside the dikes on the North Sea coast. It was possible to walk along the coastline and over the tidal flats. The staff was helpful, and the room was clean and cosy. Check-in and check-out were also quick and easy.
