This is an amazing hotel to stay at close to the river Elbe. The room we had was exceptional and I think we must have been uprgraded! It was actually a suite of rooms. The place is really up to date with high quality decor, joinery, plumbing fittings, beds and pretty much everything else. Superb ambience in the restaurant and breakfast room with great, beautifully cooked food. The staff could not have been more helpful and were a delight to talk to. Ottendorf is a quiet and attractive town with the hotel located in the heart of it. I recommened the place unreservedly. Impossible to fault!

A beautiful old town center combined with a stunning...

A beautiful old town center combined with a stunning location on the Lower Elbe River, where it meets the North Sea. Magnificent panoramic views from the dike and, for those who love maritime vistas, the Elbe freight traffic practically at your doorstep. The development of holiday homes and the wonderful campsite further whets the appetite for more. Charming restaurants complete the picture.

A fantastically cozy little town.

A fantastically cozy little town. Charming streets, the most wonderful bakeries where you could have your breakfast while taking in the city's charm. Within walking distance is Sole Terme, which is a large spa with a lovely sauna area. Definitely worth an experience.

We really enjoyed the Otterndorf Christmas market – nothing...

We really enjoyed the Otterndorf Christmas market – nothing ostentatious, but a great atmosphere! The shopkeepers were very friendly during the open Sunday shopping. We also thought the idea of the illuminated tractor track was fantastic!

The beach in Otterdorf is the best place to watch ships.

The beach in Otterdorf is the best place to watch ships. You can't get any closer. The food and drink team on the beach is unbeatable in the best possible way. Excellent selection and reasonable prices. The town center isn't as affordable; many establishments are closed, didn't survive the pandemic, or are only open for a few hours.

This hotel is located conveniently located towards the outskirts of the town. Whilst tea and coffee making facilities were not available in the room, there is a free tea/coffee bar near reception. Overnight EV charging is really convenient for a very reasonable cost. The restaurant was quiet when we visited and the food was very good. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was great. We enjoyed the friendly personel and they gave us a comfortable stay. A very clean room which has a lot of attention in decoration. Reallly nice! The restaurant serves creative and tasty dishes.

Such a calm hotel in a calm location by the river. Beautifully decorated small hotel in a nautical theme with great food. We rented canoes and the staff were helpful.
