Beautiful location and lovely staff. Appreciated the gluten free bread rolls and non dairy milk at breakfast, which added to the already delicious breakfast. The room overlooked the river and had a superb veranda to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Great place to stay. Very good and quite location, Big apportment which contains everything you need, good WIFI and free parking in front of the house. There was a small garden with a grill. And the owner was really very nice, he gave us a lot of recommendations what to visit.

The property was perfect for families or if your travelling alone. Our room was excellent for myself and my 6 year old. The apartment was fully equipped with a little compact kitchen, oven, fridge, table and chairs. No sofa to sit on just the chairs.

Super friendly staff, attentive and thorough! We had an issue before arriving that the hotel employee solved in a professional manner. The location of the hotel is ideal, easy parking, and a lovely view of the castle from our room. The breakfast is really great, not the typical hotel buffet. One can order eggs and fruit salad to be made fresh. The atmosphere in the rooms and breakfast area was really inviting and stylish. We can't recommend this place enough!

Aside from the natural beauty, the only real highlights in Rübeland are the two cave tours. If that's the main reason for a trip there, then it's definitely worth it. Otherwise, a trip to Rübeland isn't particularly worthwhile.

There are two caves to visit in the village itself.

There are two caves to visit in the village itself. The food at the accommodation's restaurant was very good! You can also reach the surrounding towns by public bus without a car. We visited the caves, took trips to the nearby towns, and saw the dam!

It fulfilled everything we were looking for: peace, relaxation, a chance to unwind, and memories of childhood. The Harz Mountains are always worth a visit, for young and old alike. Hiking trails, sightseeing opportunities, and good food can be found in many places.

I really didn't like the place at all.

I really didn't like the place at all. It's a mining village that lacks any real charm. Along the main street, it feels industrial and run-down. In some parts, it's even a bit kitschy. I wouldn't choose it as a holiday destination. I'd rather go to the next town over, Neuwerk. The only noteworthy thing about it is that it's situated in a valley surrounded by mountains.

The location is centrally located between the town of Wernigerode and the Titan suspension bridge. From there, you can easily reach all the popular tourist destinations. It is, of course, a very small, quiet place, but that's exactly what we were looking for.
