We stayed as a family with two young children. We liked the location, near the station and with a lot of hikes nearby, the beautiful house with nice interior design, and the well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The all-inclusive card for cable cars and other attractions was amazing!

The staff is very nice and always helpful. At the restaurant they even have some staff that speaks Spanish. This was really nice for my parents who where here for vacations. The rooms are big and very clean. We had a nice balcony with an amazing view of the mountain. The location is really good. I fully recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

If you stay in Unterammergau, you must be aware of your reasons for staying there, it is a very secluded mountain village with nothing there, you need a car to travel to there and around there, there is no other mode of transport, except bus or train and coffee, groceries, anything, needs to be bought somewhere else.

Unterammergau is a small, charming village.

Unterammergau is a small, charming village. We spent most of our time in Oberammergau, though, as it's lovely to wander around. There are many quaint shops to choose from, and the Paradiso ice cream parlor is an absolute must-visit. It's the best ice cream I've ever had.

The village isn't very big. There's a bakery.

The village isn't very big. There's a bakery. The "Ratscherwirt" inn offers very good food at affordable prices. The ski slope on the Steckenberg has been reduced in size. The Schartenlift lift is no longer there, and the Hababfahrt run is no longer accessible. The slope on the Steckenberg is ideal for children.

Unterammergau is a quiet village 4 km from Oberammergau.

Unterammergau is a quiet village 4 km from Oberammergau. There are three restaurants in Unterammergau where you can eat well. Otherwise, there isn't much going on. However, it's a good starting point for beautiful hikes in the Ammergau Alps and excursions to the Zugspitze region. You can also attend the Oberammergau Passion Play. A car is absolutely necessary.

Lovely Hotel, everything feels like its a very high quality. Every detail is thought through, there is art all around. Even the breakfast was nice, the bread was freshly cooked and it also tasted that way. Rooms are spacious and clean, good mountain view from our floor to ceiling window. Beds were very comfy.
