We especially loved the peaceful location and the rural...

We especially loved the peaceful location and the rural setting with its many animals and cornfields. The quarry lake, perfect for swimming, was not far from the accommodation. There were even lifeguards from the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG) on site.

This place is worth the whole trip.

This place is worth the whole trip. Nice and clean and a friendly staff who really cares about the guest. It was our second stay here and we have never regretted staying here. There will definitely be another stay here.

Rooms were nice and clean and a good size.

Rooms were nice and clean and a good size. Breakfast was nice but without hot dishes but we were full anyway. The restaurant served old-fashioned German food with large portions and what we ordered tasted good. The hotel is located on the road between Flensburg and Husum and is a good starting point for exploring the area but Wandrup itself is boring. There is a little noise from the road.

A really cozy accommodation in "nowhere" surrounded by...

A really cozy accommodation in "nowhere" surrounded by countryside and windmills. The staff was fabulous, they don't have an evening restaurant but offered to go in and pick up food at a Greek restaurant that we ordered from (with the help of the staff). We will "rebook" this place in May 2022. Hasse

A very pleasant short stay.

A very pleasant short stay. Beautiful, clean rooms, very friendly hosts, extremely pleasant atmosphere, good, plentiful breakfast. Well suited both for travelers passing through and as a base for exploring the region. Also ideally suited for group trips.

Traditional German village hotel with bar and pub food. Plenty of off street parking. Lovely large room in the annex to the back of the main historic building. Warm welcome from the host who was running the bar and sorting food orders as well as handling the hotel bookings. All managed with a friendly greeting. Lots of German guests using the hotel and locals eating in the bar which is a always a good sign. A great traditional hotel with food and drink.

Superb hotel not far off the motorway. We stopped over for one night to break the journey from Scandinavia down to Germany. The manager was most accommodating and gave us a beautiful room, fed us with a delicious German meal and supplied good pilsner beers. The room was very large and comfortable. We were on our way again after a good night's sleep and ample breakfast. Well done, and thankyou, Westerkrug! we'll be back again when we're in the area.

Even though it was Easter and the Hotel had planned a big Easter-brunch since 10:30h they were willing to offer breakfast at 07:00h in a separate room as we were just on travel-through.
