The old town is charming, but driving through Warendorf is a nightmare due to the very narrow streets, dead ends, construction sites, and one-way streets. From Warendorf, you can easily reach Münster, Osnabrück, Telgte, and Bad Laer in a relatively short time.

A classic old village, be sure to leave the market square...

A classic old village, be sure to leave the market square for a quiet terrace for a drink or a snack, behind the Laurentius Church, which is also worth a visit, as is the burnt Madonna. It's also a great place to explore the charming streets. There's a grand Marian festival around Ascension Day in August. It's also a great place for horse lovers.

Warendorf has a beautiful old town.

Warendorf has a beautiful old town. The hiking trails and the Emssee lake are also well-maintained and highly recommended. There are numerous restaurants and cafes, and we weren't disappointed anywhere. We didn't need a car in Warendorf; everything is easily accessible on foot.

This small town has a special charm.

This small town has a special charm. The cozy Christmas market with its decorated stalls has a lot to offer. The market square, with its restored buildings, is the perfect setting. There's a wonderful atmosphere there. A guided tour of the town is definitely worthwhile. We will certainly visit Warendorf again.

Warendorf is an exceptionally pretty little town.

Warendorf is an exceptionally pretty little town. Everything is very clean and lovingly maintained. The half-timbered houses give the town a cozy feel. For such a relatively small place, there are many restaurants and very nice, individual cafés. Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere.

We really loved the apartment, how it is decorated, the absolute cleanness and space. Also the kitchen is really big and a nice space to sit and drink tea/coffee or else. The bathroom is so spacious and there is even a bath! There are so many details, enough lights in all rooms and a piano as a bonus. We just did have a night, but surely we will come back to explore also more of Warendorf and surrounding. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. There are teabags, coffeepads & sugar available.
