Spent only one night in this hotel on my motorbike trip and I really enjoyed it. Very nice hotel with very nice rooms with a very nice (and calm) location - and with very nice staff not only at the hotel but at the surrounding farm too. Various options for a walk around in the forest. I liked the possibility to enjoy a cold bottle of beer in front of the hotel, as well as great breakfast. I will definitely keep this place in my notes for future.

the silence of the woods is amazing, wonderful terrace for a drink and food, food is great, great wines, parking good, room spacious, lounge deck, great hiking in neighbourhood, Hercules statue 1,5km walk.

We really enjoyed our time at Lake Edersee in Waldeck,...

We really enjoyed our time at Lake Edersee in Waldeck, Korbach, and Bad Arolsen. We particularly liked the Restaurant Athen in Wolfhagen. It's helpful to have a quiet oasis for relaxing moments, and our holiday apartment in Zierenberg was perfect for that.

The lovely guesthouse was right across from a nice hotel...

The lovely guesthouse was right across from a nice hotel where we could eat well. We went by car, but there was also a bus connection. We wanted to visit the Hercules monument and Löwenburg Castle, which we managed to do despite a few difficulties.

The old-fashioned way, nothing more, nothing less!

The old-fashioned way, nothing more, nothing less! Excellent breakfast, and I'd never tried it before, but the breakfast rolls were pre-cut (in half). A great idea. My room had a bath; I'd have preferred a shower. The owner is friendly but businesslike.

The most beautiful was Willemshof near Kassel.

The most beautiful was Willemshof near Kassel. And the nature there is stunningly beautiful throughout. We were there in autumn, so the leaf colors were truly beautiful. We will definitely go back.
