I loved Nyhavn and spent a morning drawing the buildings.

I loved Nyhavn and spent a morning drawing the buildings. I had a lovely free swim from the harbour. I felt safe walking around and could go into cafes alone without anybody staring. Tivoli Gardens at Halloween was fabulous and memorable and I could see Copenhagen transforming for Christmas. Had I stayed longer I would have travelled to Sweden.

It's like Paris without the dog poo, oppressive cigarettes everywhere, attitudes, and over tourism. It is also not as run down and has great air quality and public transportation. The food and nightlife was incredible. The Danish are such friendly and lovely people and most speak English. Highly recommend the bistro 'Spisestedet FEED' with their signature meal. Perfect pairings and blends of tastes and wine. The chef's take tremendous pride in their creations.

Copenhagen has a simple easy to use Metro System which took us to all the sights. We did a walking tour of Copenhagen highly recommend. We visited Rosenborg Castle, Amelieborg Palace and Fredriksborg Palace over our 4 days and did not get Palaced out as they were all very different, Loved our lunch at Nyhavn after our scenic canal cruise. To our surprise admission to all the palaces offered 50% for Seniors. So many quaint lovely bakery/cafes to have a coffee and cake. The shopping is excellent. Copenhagen is small and very accessible and the people are helpful.

Copenhagen is an absolutely beautiful city — clean, stylish, and full of charm. The people are amazing, genuinely helpful, respectful, and everyone speaks excellent English. Danes pay great attention to detail in everything, from how they dress to how the city is kept. The food is fantastic, and everyone visiting should try their cinnamon swirl — it’s the best I’ve ever had. The architecture is stunning, with so many beautiful places to explore. If only the weather had been better, it would have been the perfect holiday, and I’ll definitely be coming back to this wonderful country.

Central Copenhagen is very easy to walk around.

Central Copenhagen is very easy to walk around. The Netto Badene boat trip is a good, reasonably inexpensive way to get to see Copenhagen. Tivoli Gardens entrance ticket is quite expensive, but we saw a great concert there and the combined ticket was worth it. The National Museum has a lot of interesting exhibits - we ended up spending a whole day there. Cashless payments are the norm everywhere.

Beautiful city with lots to do and amazingly friendly people, great food and thriving night life. Yes very expensive compared to others but brilliant city. Couldn’t recommend the likes of tivoli gardens and carlsberg experience/ museum higher. The traditional food found in their many amazing food halls/restaurants were also very tasty and so so unique.

Perfect spot for sightseeing tour around Copenhagen, as the hotel is directly next to the metro station, that can take you to the city centre area in a matter of minutes. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. Additionaly the rooftop area and common room seem to be extremely social space, where you can spend nice evening or remote workday. (We did not spend time there, as visiting the city was the main prio for us)

I appreciated the exceptional service from the Absalon Hotel Team. Everyone was nice and helpful. The prime location of the hotel made accessing major landmarks easy. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Plus, a short 3/4-minute walk to Copenhagen Central Station provided quick access to the airport in just 15 minutes.

The hotel has a very good location, a ±10-minute walk from Copenhagen Central Station and close to the city centre. Bikes are available to hire, which is handy for getting around, and the accommodation itself was clean and tidy. The windows were useful for fresh air, which helped since the weather was warm.

The hotel is close to the central railway station and the metro station. The city centre is also within walking distance. The rooms are very tiny, has no shelf or storage where you can put your clothes (everything stays in the bag), but still good for a couple of days while you visit Copenhagen.

Overall a modern and spacious hotel in a newly built area of Copenhagen. Accessible location. The city centre is easily reachable by metro. Competitive price during our stay in October 2024. We booked separately but we were a group of 7 staying in three rooms.
