I went there specifically for a 24 hour hike event, the town...

I went there specifically for a 24 hour hike event, the town is almost identical to the one I come from just in a slightly different location. If you are a foreigner to Denmark and want to experience small town Denmark, absolutely, the hotel nearby is great, and the area connects well to main roads to see bigger cities as well. As a main tourist destination though? No, it's simply too small.

The hotel is located on the main road, near the motorway,...

The hotel is located on the main road, near the motorway, but nestled among woods and fields. It's a wonderful place for walks, whether you're with your dog or not. There's a play area for children, and plenty of seating areas invite you to play or relax with a drink, which you can get from the vending machine. The village of Middelfard is just a few minutes away by car.

I like the rooms and no problems with having a dog.

I like the rooms and no problems with having a dog. I think it's a shame they changed the concept from an inn to a hotel... I miss the good old-fashioned food from the past. The buffet is boring and the breakfast is at a low level. Nice and friendly contact with the staff. Lovely natural surroundings.

Ejby is a small village in Denmark that's great for hiking. There's a supermarket and gas station, and everything you need for a short stopover. There's plenty of nature around, but nothing special that would warrant a stop.
