CanadaSweet Home Punta Cana Guest House equals top places I've stayed at in my many travels. The hosts were clear and prompt during the online booking process. I came in on a late flight and the prearranged check-in, though after midnight, was smooth. The room accommodation was wonderful, with air-con, fridge, bathroom with a great shower, TV, amazingly comfortable bed, excellent wifi service, and private balcony with chairs and table overlooking wonderful flowering tropical trees, with chirping songbirds flying in and out of the trees a few feet away. It's in an enclosed community, so traffic and other external noise was minimal to non-existent. (No noise from other occupied rooms either.) The kitchen was super-well-stocked with appliances, dishes, pans, sharp knives, etc., as good in quality as in private homes. The "public spaces" such as living room and dining room are quaint and gorgeous with many obviously loved antique items, including Dominican Republic items - and piano and guitars for use. Even a hifi for playing vinyl records, and many vinyl records, both 33 1/3 and 45s! I was staying alone but if I had been there with my partner I would have played some records and danced with her there - and maybe asked other guests to join us. The front yard has a garden swing, table and chairs, and more greenery. Parking right in front. Friendly guards smile at the front gate of the community, and just around the corner of that gate is a large food store (10 minute walk form the guest house), and beside it a "farmacia". A short, easy, fun, inexpensive public bus ride away is a large mall for other items/needs. Public beach very close by: I got to the beach (and other places) on one of the guest house's bicycles (with locks and helmets). But the highest compliment goes to the on-site staff. Pipi the manager went far beyond in helping me with language and other aspects of the stay; he's now a personal friend.

The garden pool was my favorite part: clean, calm, and surrounded by greenery that made it feel like a private retreat. Every afternoon I’d swim a little, then lie on a sunbed with a book and a cold drink. The beach being so close was a huge bonus; I could walk there in minutes. There are also great dining options nearby, from casual spots to romantic restaurants. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always willing to go the extra mile. They arranged a snorkeling tour for me that was unforgettable. This hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort and Caribbean charm.

We really enjoyed our vacation with Hotel Faranda Single 1! The hotel was very clean and the decoration was excellent.
Wonderful location and great service! We got a warm welcome, beautiful rooms, great service, delicious food, the staff was nice and helpful we had really nice conversations and memories with Jade, Caro and Rodrigo. Nice dynamics, atmosphere, friendliness, humor, really nice to experience this with them.
The hotel rooms are nicely decorated with a storage room , washer + dryer + iron, kitchen with fridge + oven + stove, a nice living room with a TV offering Google Chrome cast & a bedroom overlooking the pool. The bed was super nice to sleep on, felt like sleeping in the clouds and a nice closet with a big mirror.
They have a gym, workplace and plenty of space to park.
During breakfast you get a menu card, from which you can choose. We quickly noticed that everything on the menu is made with love. The 'tamarin' juice is definitely recommended. 😋😋 Alberto and Hillary made our mornings very nice.
There is a big and clean pool & the hotel also provides transportation to their beach club, super nice beach with nice drinks and food.
They are available 24/7 and ready to help if there’s anything.
It is secured there by security guards and cameras so very safe.
In 1 word EXCELLENT! I recommend this hotel to everyone!

We chose Bávaro because it’s close to the airport, and my husband and I picked Los Corales Beach Village because it promised to be just steps from the beach—and honestly, the price was almost too good to be true. From the moment we landed, however, everything started going wrong: trouble with the rental car, getting lost, and struggling to find the hotel. I began to doubt my decision… until we finally arrived and met Rosa, the manager.
Meeting Rosa was like arriving in heaven. From that very moment, we felt truly on vacation. Rosa is an absolute angel—she made us feel special every single day. The cleaning ladies and the security team were always attentive and caring. Rosa gave us the best recommendations on where to eat and explore, and she introduced us to Domingo, who kindly took us on a deep-sea fishing trip and later to the beach. Domingo became an unforgettable part of our story and our joy.
The unit we stayed in had a European, almost vintage charm—simple, but incredibly comfortable and spacious. The beds felt like home, the AC was perfectly cool, the fridge was always stocked with icy bottles of water, the coffee maker had the delicious Santo Domingo coffee ready for us, and the bathrooms were large and refreshing. From our balcony, we could practically touch the sand. Everything was within walking distance: restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, markets, and souvenirs.
But what touched my heart the most was something I had never experienced in all my travels in the Dominican Republic: from my balcony, I could hear entire families singing and laughing together. It was so beautiful and genuine. In big resorts, tourists often look bored—but here, life and joy filled the air.
Without hesitation, I wouldn’t just give them 5 stars—I would give them a thousand stars. For their warmth, their location, and their comfort, this place didn’t just host us—it embraced us.

BelgiumWe had a wonderful stay at HM Bávaro Beach. Everything was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely – kind, friendly, and always smiling. You could really feel the warm hospitality throughout the hotel.
The overall experience was fantastic. The view from the sky bar and infinity pool overlooking the ocean was simply breathtaking – a real highlight of our stay.

I went to stay in Punta Cana for about one week, three nights in two different resorts. I honestly did not see a lot from the region at all because I did not leave the resorts, I mainly went there to relax in the sun by the pool and read a book. In both resorts the staff was working efficient and friendly, there was good food and enjoyable entertainment.

Favorite Sports/Activity: The Dolphin Island was worth it.
Places to eat: I ate all my meals at the all inclusive hotel.
Travel: Getting around Punta Cana was easy as the hotel had a shuttle to the local bazar. Road was good.
Fun Activity as a solo traveler: Beside the Dolphin Island I didn't take any other excursion. I used the time to read, write and reflect. This hotel was quiet so it worked for me.

Beaches are absolutely amazing, the ocean is warm, the water is super clean and crystal clear! We did have some bad luck with hurricane melissa passing by and with that a couple of rainy/cloudy days. Otherwise its a fantastic place to spend your vacation!!

I am a travel agent and I would not recommend anyone to stay here , they are a scammer and their , they want you to pay deposit plus for electricity which is 700 pesos which they did not put in there description or policy I had to leave my passport because I told them I am not paying it. Then the room they sent me was dirty, the bathroom was very bad pipes rusted and mold filthy. The water was no good it was salt. Then electricy went away. I had a very bad experience. Do not go there and they want you to pay deposit and they don't refund. If you book it for 3 days and then you don't change your mind they don't want to refund back the cash. They are theif. Stay away from this place

Punta Cana is a lovely place.
Punta Cana is a lovely place. It would be nice to have public transportation buses to the Blue Mall etc. Lots to see and do here.
It would be really nice to be able to book tourist sight seeing flights on helicopters and small planes.
We did zip lining and visited the monkeys..both good experiences our parasailing was cancelled correctly due to the tropical storm.
I always try to leave small tips for workers in the resorts. They are very appreciative of the money. It makes a difference.

This was my second time visiting Punta Cana.
This was my second time visiting Punta Cana. Still undergoing a lot of building and construction, but it is a growing county. We stayed in Uvero Alto at the beginning of September. We did see plenty of seaweed but they do try to remove it daily. But for my liking the ocean is nice to see but due to the darker water and seaweed I didn't get in the water. Macoa beach was not impressive and they have many vendors that are extremely overpriced. Other than that you can walk along the beach, but plan to take your own food for the day or spend $25 per lb of fish or $30 per lb for lobster. Saona Island was beautiful, you see the blue Caribbean waters and white sand. This time we saw clear waters, but the first time there was a lot of seaweed.

Everything was amazing ! The location in a local area (and not a touristic zone) and close to the Macau beach. The confort and the cleanness. The breakfast prepared by Angelica was delicious! And Jorge is the most welcoming host in earth !! He make us to feel like home !! It is the best place we've stayed during our trip to Dominican Republic !!

This hotel truly offers the best of Punta Cana. Our studio had a terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee while listening to the birds in the garden. The rooftop pool gave us gorgeous views over the ocean. We loved the convenience of being so close to Arena Gorda Beach. Dining at the outdoor restaurant was always a treat, especially with the fresh seafood.

We booked 5 different hotels in punta cana on different sides to see the various areas.. this was one of the most beautiful properties we stayed in in Punta Cana. The lunch and breakfast buffet were delicious and i loved how hygienic it was with staff serving behind sneeze guards.
