The view was beautiful, but the drive up was not easy.

The view was beautiful, but the drive up was not easy. The food was satisfactory, but since this is clearly a place where locals come for special occasions, the Birthday Song - played every time a cake came out - was a little too much.

I love Dominican Republic.

I love Dominican Republic. I have family members that I visit. There are a lot of places to sightsee, even just visiting the monument is a glorious view and a good day. Just be mindful of the drivers as they are literally sometimes not going by the light however, as you’re there you get into with how traffic flows. Eatery is everywhere. there are a lot of pool places like Cascada Park and there’s also in the ranch which has had a bit of a renovation so that’s cool to see their other places that have private pools not for the public that you can pay a small fee to enter. They have also made a new mall which I hear has a they have also made a new mall which I hear has a lot of Americanized stores as well. There is so much more like the cathedral as well. I can’t think of it all, but I know overall I love going to Santiago!

The city of Santiago itself is to congested.

The city of Santiago itself is to congested. There are not enough roadways to accommodate the population of the city. I do like the mountains outside the city however I would not recommend a stay in the city itself. The summer months are extremely hot and the smog in the air is not healthy. There are some good restaurants in the city. I enjoyed some of the night clubs and the entertainment. The government administration should work towards better public transportation and more of a police presence in order to promote more tourism.

Industrial hub of DR.

Industrial hub of DR. Centre of cigar making and automotive sales. Interesting history with a different vibe to Santa Domingo. Leon art museum worth a visit as is the surrounding countryside beautiful views from hilltops. But like the rest of DR they need to have an efficient garbage collection infrastructure. Sad to see countryside and beaches littered with garbage and plastic bags and bottles.

The taxi service was very good.

The taxi service was very good. All the taxi has air condition. You may have to ask some driver to turn the air condition a little higher. Lots of traffic crazy drivers but they know what they are doing. And they know their way around town.

It was a great day overall I had access to the pool they had their times where you can I had to parking for my truck the upstairs room was awesome because I could’ve smoked my cigars drink a beer get some fresh air had a view of the mountains everything in the house worked except for the coffee and tea maker the rooms were a little small but compact for what you need it all had Air condition

The coffee was good. The mangou breakfast was available without the mangou, so I had that with mashed potatoes, served with fried cheese and some sausage. The staff are very nice, always. The breakfast area is on the roof. It’s noisy but I like it. Outside each floor of rooms there is a sheltered, outside seating area. Right next to the hotel is a small mall and cinema, perfect place to spend a bit if time before and after an appointment if (as is my case) that is the purpose of your trip to Santiago.

Good quality hotel in Santiago historical centre. Clean, well functioning. Restaurant has an amazing view! While rooms are very different- some of them very spacious with a view to the monument. Others tiny with a view to the wall. Welcome drink was especially pleasant. Breakfast was very good.

A delightful host that handled every request I had. They helped get me a reasonable fare to the airport and let me use their personal computer to print my plane ticket. Overall, they were kind, generous, and very easygoing. Nothing but positive vibes across the board. And the view is gorgeous.
