The breakfast buffet had variety which met my expectations. Similarly, the cook over at the egg section was kind to meet my requests. The location of the hotel is satisfactory as it allowed my and my family to connect to the other prime locations around the city.

The hotel is genuinely one of the most beautiful hotels you can find in Cairo. Yes, you might find cheaper options, but believe me, the compromise on quality isn't worth it. We stayed here for three nights and then decided to extend our reservation for another day, but there was no availability, so we found a different, cheaper hotel. That's when I truly realized that the Sayyed Efendi Hotel is one of the finest hotels in Cairo. If you can find an available room, I'd say don't miss it. In Cairo, you'll likely be out exploring all day, and when you return to your room, it feels like a remedy to step into a space isolated from the city's chaos and noise. All the employees, especially those at the reception, were incredibly friendly, and chatting with them was a lot of fun. The beds and pillows we slept on were very comfortable. Absolutely no noise came into the room, which is a very important detail. And to get to the part that truly enchanted me: the bathrooms were wonderful. You can wash away the day's fatigue under a great shower. Frankly, I stayed at another hotel in Cairo, and it was nothing like this. Believe me, in a country like this, the comfort of the shower you take when you return to your room in the evening is very important. Your towels are changed daily, they provide high-quality shampoo and shower gel, and there's hot water available at all times. As for the breakfast, it's also one of the best you can find in Cairo. While there are local varieties, there are also flavors to suit everyone's palate, so don't worry, you won't go hungry (at worst, you can have cereal). There is a very nice rooftop terrace where breakfast is also served. It’s like a cafe, and it's a separate pleasure to come up in the evening and chat in the cool air. We arrived early, and they did everything they could to help us.

I had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel. The staff were truly exceptional—especially Nahla, who was always friendly, smiling, and ready to help. A big thank you also to Islam and Saif for their kind assistance throughout my stay. The hotel is situated in a beautiful, antique building featuring a classic vintage elevator that adds genuine charm. The location is unbeatable—perfect for exploring Cairo’s top attractions and getting around the city with ease. Highly recommended, and I will definitely stay there again!

I seldom look back on a stay in a hotel with so much content as I do with my stay at Longchamps. The location in Zamalek is just perfect as this neighbourhood is the most chill yet sophisticated area in Cairo. Besides the location the staff is so wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Both frontdesk, breakfast staff as the cleaning staff were so helpful. Some speak better English than others, but all were ready to help us with a big smile. The hotel is completely renovated in a lovely style. This is one of the few hotels in Egypt for me that actually lives up to the pictures both in atmosphere as in cleanliness. It was such a relief to finally stay in a hotel where actually everything worked properly and was cleaned perfectly.

People: Amazing and kind people Marwan, Ayah, Abdo (brothers and sister). Warm and welcoming supporting staff (Sherine) arranging home made Egyptian food for breakfast with love. Feel at home: great hospitality and support always with more personal care. Communication: Super efficient with whatsapp. I could arrange everything needed while I was traveling to hotel from another city via WhatsApp (private car for doctor appointment late in the night and ordering Indian food). When arrived hotel everything arranged and check-in within 5min. Facilities: Good renovated rooms with better lighting and latest air conditioning system (both heating and cooling option for all seasons) Eventhough I have stayed and had options to stay in other big hotels in town, I prefer this hotel especially when I was sick and had to arrange travel to airport early in the morning, I am always at good hand and reliable people to take care of me at this hotel. Million thanks to Ayah, Abdo and Marwan again for taking care of me very well when I was down with illness. Finally the best moment to cherish forever having breakfast and nice chat together with Marwan at the room giving the perfect effect of staying at home helping speedy recovery infusing more happiness making my day more special.
