The location is stunning. We had room 502 and the balcony view was spectacular. We spent the evening there watching the sunset and drinking some great wine. Highly recommended.

I LOVED my stay at Palacio de Samaniego! I don't know where to start. The facilities were impeccable; newly renovated it's clean and modern but classic. The building is well maintained and the staff are friendly and the place felt like home, I was very comfortable in it (felt safe, at home and physically comfortable the furniture was amazing). The hotel is like a little museum it was incredible with all of the art work you feel like you are living inside a little art gallery/museum. There are only 9 rooms so the hotel feels cozy and you know most of the people who are staying there with you. The staff are exceptional, I felt like I was in a B&B where everyone gets to know you and genuinely they were so kind and I got on with them, was sad to leave! Location is insanely amazing; the town only has the hotel and two wineries in walking distance but the hotel has almost everything you need. It's a great place if you are out all day and want to stay in and rest in the evening. You can walk out of the hotel and go on walks up the mountain behind it or down in the wineries below - it was breathtaking. The hotel has ebikes and we took them around to the villages nearby, such a bonus for the wine country! Overall the value was insane, at 300Euro/night you get so much but mostly you feel at ease.

A very comfortable room with balcony at the lively heart of this lovely small village. We walked to the old part where there are old churches and houses with a great view from the higher church over surrounding village. Up there we found the wine bar garden at Bodegas Tierra. There are good restaurants and bars in the village which we enjoyed. We did not eat food on site but the restaurant and bar were obviously popular with locals.

We liked the design of the hotel. Afternoon drinks and dinner were great. We didn't have breakfast. Bed and linen were excellent, toilet amenities very good as well. Staff were professional and friendly. Thank you.

Just WOW! It was perfect.

Just WOW! It was perfect. The architecture of the building and the interior decoration are awesome. The cuisine was excellent, fine details in every dish and very affordable . If you looking for a quiet retreat with lots of charm, this is the place. Highly recommend this stay. If ever I am back in this region of Spain, will definitely stay here again.

Nicely done up old villa in the middle of Ábalos, a small town in the north of La Rioja. Decent size room, with a good but basic bathroom. Staff are very friendly. The included breakfast was very good and more than enough. At the entrance is a small bar (one of the very few in town) where they serve good Rioja wines and 'raciones' to share. We did not eat in the restaurant. The owner has an EV charger in the parking lot, which he let's you use at his private rate, which is a good deal. Parking is free for guests.

Nice old building. Vineyards and other old towns worth a visit all nearby. Food was very good, incl. dinner. Private parking. Very good value for money. On Friday, from late afternoon onwards, many locals gathered in the small hotel bar for a drink and tapas. Even though we don't speak spanish, it was fun hanging out there and drink a whine. Total foreigners to us, they were quick to share their tapas with us. Really nice.

Hotel located in a pretty, rustic, quiet historic village surrounded by wineries. Lots of nice walks from village up into the hills. Quiet, comfortable rooms; very clean. Excellent restaurant. Wife of proprietor is cook. Food and wine very good value. Good wine list majoring on wines from village. Friendly staff. Easy parking at rear; garden patio
