Very clean and nice hotel. “One star” hostal, but it has all you need: A-C, clean, good beds, very nice señora (owner) who helps of bereed. Piscina municipal in the village also nice!

Beautiful house, modern interior, decorated with style. In the middle of Arguedas, with bakery and other simple facilities at few minutes walk. Parking right in front of the house. Nice roof terrace. Arguedas is the best base for discovering the Bardenas Reales, by bike and/or by car.

A nice big home that was well appointed. It is in the very interesting village of Valtierra. We were made very welcome on arrival. A little blackboard with a personalised welcome in English and Basque was a nice touch. We didn't have time to explore the area but I recommend others to research the area and build in some time to explore because it is quite unique.

The room and the hotel itself are great! Very nice location, you can reach it by car only. The views are stunning, very relaxed and calm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are welcome mini tapas. Also, there is a lovely garden and swimming pool in the common area.

During the daytime heat, there's little activity, but as...

During the daytime heat, there's little activity, but as evening falls, the streets magically come alive. There are charming little restaurants where you can eat without breaking the bank. It truly is the gateway to the Bardenas. From the village, there's a superb view of the troglodyte houses carved into the cliff.

The small town is too quiet, almost ghost town!

The small town is too quiet, almost ghost town! There are lots of livestock farms and grain cooperatives, which leave behind really strong odors. We love the countryside, but near the hotels, the sewage system is far too noisy, unfortunately! On the other hand, the cleaning ladies are fantastic, attentive, a real treat. It's a shame this establishment is located there!

The village itself has no notable landmarks, but restaurants...

The village itself has no notable landmarks, but restaurants are available. The neighboring town of Artieras offers more shopping options. Arguédas' main advantage is its direct car access to the Bardenas.

A charming village.

A charming village. On Fridays they have a pintxo-pote (pintxo and drink special) at the bar in the square, and we went... delicious pintxos accompanied by a good local wine. The caves in Arguedas can be visited at any time of day, and you can go inside; some are very well preserved. They must be beautifully illuminated at night, although we were too tired to go to sleep early.

Arguedas is the ideal starting point for visiting the Bardenas Reales. Prices in the town are good, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. The people in the town were all very nice, helpful, and courteous.
