The staff were very pleasant. The Albergue was extremely good value for money. I had a single room and both bathrooms were very close. I never had a problem waiting for a free bathroom. The breakfasts were really good... Spanish style but that's what I wanted. The evening meal was great value for money. Boca de Huérgano is a super location for exploring the Picos. Riaño is only about 8 or 10km away and there are beautiful hikes around there. There's also a public swimming pool in Riaño.

It's really "The end of the road". Just opposite the cable-car that takes one up another 1000+ meters to the mountains. Very good breakfast.

I took a gamble in using this Accomadation because it was out of the way from Guardo, but it paid-off, even though my transportation to the property was difficult, ie. Train disruption and bad weather. My previous research stood me in good stead. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, the brave are rewarded. Please try the Soup, Olives and especially the local Honey, yum, yum. For such a cold night the room was pleasantly warm.

The property was lovely, very well decorated and the bed was very comfortable: Very quiet area, without pollution and a lovely view to wake up. The owners were very lovely, the food was very nice (we had dinner there once), and the breakfast very generous.

Exceptional little hotel in la Liébana region of Cantabria. The passionate staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Homemade food and hearty breakfasts will set you ready to explore the historical towns and beautiful mountains, home to bears, wolves and perhaps the last capercaillies left in Iberian lands. A special mention to Mari Cruz and the rest of the team (this may sound like one of those IA generated fake reviews, but believe me, it is not): they are the kind of staff that truly puts all their heart in what they do.
