Hi, we stayed to Casa Rural as 1 night for transit from Valencia to CDT - Castellon Airport flight. The accommodation was great, as expected, the lady help us with any additional questions that we had upfront, she asked her son to takes to the airport & from train station contra cost ofc. We arrived Sunday evening and the "city" Cabanes is empty, no place to eat or to shop for water & bread. Casa Rural dosen't provide any meal/food but the house is made in old style but very "fashionable" and nice, also the mattress very comfortable. Clean, silent, rural, nice, very nice hosts!

The town of Cabanes is a rather sleepy, quiet town, located several kilometers from the coastline via a mountain road. There are several historic buildings to see. It's worth strolling the streets, enjoying a coffee, and enjoying a bite of local specialties at the local pubs.

This part of the Costa del Azahar is well preserved, especially the coastline; even with modern accommodations nearby, everything is well laid out, clean, quiet, multiple roads ensure great ease in visiting the region, the climate in April is pleasant.

It's an apartment complex designed for the summer season.

It's an apartment complex designed for the summer season. I went at Christmas looking for absolute peace and quiet, and that's exactly what I found. I imagine it's more crowded in the summer. There are no amenities nearby; the nearest shops are about 3 kilometers away, so you'll need a vehicle, whether it's a car, bicycle, or something else.

The town is very quiet with supermarkets and bars/restaurants. The surrounding area, the Desierto de las Palmas Natural Park, is beautiful. I'm eager to do more excursions and hikes. The hike to Miravet Castle is lovely. There are some really cool mountain bike routes.

The cost and location were my main reasons for booking this hotel. It is popular with truckers. The rooms are recently refurbished or possibly new. There's a restaurant which offers a three-course meal including a salad, bread and a drink for €12.50 per person. They provide a traditional Spanish tostada breakfast including coffee for a few euros. If you need a one-night stopover I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing, we weren't able to stay there as the very rude man on "reception " told us the hotel was closed to us and we were forced to find another hotel. We would like a refund as the accommodation was paid for but denied to us. We are very unhappy and disappointed 😞
